Chapter 14

Sunghoon threw himself on the bed and covers his face with a pillow before screaming his lungs out. He sat down and stared on the floor, thinking about earlier.

"What's gotten into me?", he said to himself before pulling his hair. He took a glance towards his bag, remembered about the gift.

He sighed before pulling his bag closer. He opens it and took the gift before staring at it for 10 seconds.

He decided to open it, and suddenly a paper slipped out from the box. He frowned and took it without any hesitation.

"A note...", he said.

   Thank you for helping me yesterday, I really appreciate it :3 I had already consider you as a friend, I hope you're too. Even though you don't talk much at school, I know you're the most kindest person I've ever known. I'm sorry if I've made you mad. Don't hate me though. That's all hehe, bye!

He froze after reading the note. His heart softens. Every sentences she wrote makes him feel calm. He could imagined her saying that face to face.

He felt awful for what he did. He regretted every single thing he does towards her. After many years being the coldest guy in the school, no one had ever made him feel bad. Migyung is the only one....

"Should I apologise to her?"

"She's a good person"

Migyung laid on her bed, feeling empty and hoping there's someone who can fill it up. She had nothing to do. She always felt bored when she had an awful day. If her day went well, she would probably find some activities to do. She would also count some grass when she's happy.

Suddenly there's a knock on the door. Before she could answer, the person opens the door. No one else, it's Mino.

"Migyung, wanna play GTA?", he walked towards her and hit her feet with his hands.

She didn't answer and kept with her straight face. Mino seems to realise it so he sat at the edge of the bed.

"Hey are you okay? You look like a sloth"

Migyung turned her gaze towards him with deadly eyes. He smiled and shook his head.

"Okay, okay. Is everything okay? You look.....I don't wanna say it again", he said.

"Um....if I tell you....would you even care?", Migyung spoke and sat down to look at him more clearly.

"Of course I would care, you're my sister", he replied.

"Um are you sure? Can I trust you?"

"Of course you can trust me. Come on just say it already....no secrets between us...", Mino said and came more closer to her.

"Um....I—"

"Did you just got rejected?"

Migyung went silence as she looks away. Mino's eyes went wide.

"OH MY GOD SERIOUSLY DID YOU JUST GOT REJEC—"

Before he could finish his words, Migyung covered his mouth with her tiny palms.

"Shut it!"

"UmPH! pHmp! Mig—yung!", said Mino, struggling to speak. She let go of him as he catches his breath.

"Yah what was that for?", asked Mino annoyed.

"You asked for it. You screamed like you want the neighbours to hear it too", Migyung said while crossing her arms. She rolled her eyes and sat back down.

"Okay okay sorry but....did you seriously got rejected? My pretty sister got rejected?", said Mino.

"Not that kind of reject.....it's um....ugh forget it!", Migyung said and turns her body, making her back facing him.

"Migyung...aren't you going to tell me?", Mino said while poking her back with his index finger.

"Not in the mood"

She simply answered and didn't even think to look at him. He let out a sigh.

"I know what can cheer you up, let's go shopping", he said.

"No"

"Play arcade?"

"No"

"Bowling?"

"No"

"Movies?"

"No, no and no"

"Ah.....how about I buy your favourite onigiri at the supermarket ?"

"......."

"I knew you want i—"

"Wait for me I'll get dressed", Migyung said before walking towards the bedroom.

Mino sat there, dumbfounded.

"What is wrong with my sister? Is she broken?"

"I could just buy it for you, you know"

"Nah it's okay, I'll come", Migyung shouted from the changing room.

"Mom asked me to buy her enoki mushrooms, can you—"

"I'll go there for a second, you can take everything you want first", Migyung cut Mino's words off and hurriedly walked towards somewhere.

"What is wrong with her?", Mino said to himself before walking towards the vegetables area.

Migyung peeked towards the cashier, trying to make sure that it's Sunghoon. Turns out, it's just a random guy, not him. Migyung sighed and looks down. She thought that Sunghoon might be there, working.

"I guess he's not working today...", she said to herself and turns around until suddenly she hit something caused her to fall to the ground.

"Ouch", she touches her butt that is in pain.

"Migyung?", a voice spoke.

She looks up to see who it is. As soon as she saw the person, she gasped and quickly stood up.

"A-Aren't you working right now?", she asked the tall figure that is standing in front of her, holding a box on his hands.

"I am working.....I'm arranging these items", he said, showing the box he's holding.

"Oh okay....", Migyung looks down embarrassedly.

There is an awkward silence between them. Migyung is looking at the other way while Sunghoon is looking at her. His eyes softens.He felt bad because she looks like she's afraid of him. He thinks this is the time for him to make things better.

"Migyung"

"I'm sorry"

"After everything...."

"I really mean it, Migyung..."

Wait, did he just apologised? To me?
