"How and when did you know him?"

"Today....at the ice rink. He introduced himself and I didn't talk to him that much. But that time.....he already had some bruises on his face", Migyung said.

Sir Ali sighed while focusing on the road. Migyung looks at him and saw a concerned expression on his face.

"Why do you look so anxious?", Migyung asked.

"I don't know.....when I saw him. I know that he got hurt not because of a fight....."

Migyung frowned.

"I think.....he got abused....."

*Ding Dong*

The sound of the doorbell ringing making Jake stop his actions. He placed his dumbbells on the mat and took a small towel to wipe his sweat. He quickly put on his shirt and went straight to the front door. He opened the door and reveals Sunghoon who was staring at him with no expression.

"Come in", Jake said.

Sunghoon walked inside the house with his luggage. Without any hesitation, he laid down on the couch.

"Why don't you just stay with your coach?", Jake asked.

"What? Why? He have wife and kids. It would be super awkward. Perhaps, I would probably end up being a babysitter", Sunghoon shook his head.

Jake chuckled. He went to take some water before coming back to the living room.

"By the way, does Migyung family knows you're moving here?"

Sunghoon shook his head.

"What? Why didn't you tell them? You should've told them first", Jake said.

"I wanted to but they're not home. So I just told their maid about it. Migyung knew so she could also be the one to tell them", Sunghoon said and took a loud sigh. Jake realised that he looks so tired.

"Is your coach forcing you to practice?"

Sunghoon looks at him.

"No...", he simply answered.

Jake crossed his arms, knowing that Sunghoon lied to him. He can actually read someone's expression. Sunghoon sighed when he realised that Jake gave him the 'look'.

"Hey, it's totally normal. You know the competition is around the corner. Of course I have to practice all out", he explained.

"I know you, Hoon. But you never skip school just to practice. Your—"

"I'm tired, Jake. I'll go upstairs and take a shower. We can talk later"

Sunghoon grabbed his things and went straight upstairs, leaving Jake. Jake shook his head while letting out a loud sigh. He was so worried about Sunghoon. If he does, Migyung must be too.

Jake looked at his phone and thought of an idea. He searched for Migyung's number and messaged her.

Migyung was studying in her room alone. Sunghoon usually accompany her and teaches her while studying but he's not there. She had lost motivation since there's a question that she couldn't answer without Sunghoon's help. She rested her chin on her arm and let out a sigh. Suddenly her phone beeped. It was a message from Jake.

Jake 😎

Jake: Hi Migyung. Sorry if I'm bothering you. I knew about what happened between you and Sunghoon. It must be hard. But that doesn't mean that you should stop thinking about him. He's the one who maybe got 'forced' by his coach to stop thinking about other people.

Migyung: haha thanks Jake. But what's your purpose? You don't usually message me.

Jake: I want to help.

Migyung: With?

Jake: Updating about Sunghoon every single day since he lives with me for a few weeks.

Migyung: you can do that for me? Don't you think Sunghoon will get mad?

Jake: of course I do! Both of you are my friends. Why would he get mad of you caring about him? I'll update about him tomorrow since he's resting right now.

Migyung: aww thanks Jake!

Jake: my pleasure...

Migyung's face brightens. She was so grateful to have a friend like Jake. He really understands their situation as she couldn't stop smiling. Now she'll be able to know how well Sunghoon's been doing without asking him.

"What's so funny about that question?", someone spoke making her flinch.

"Oppa! Aish stop scaring me like that!"

"It's not my fault that you daydreamed.....by the way where's Sunghoon? He wasn't in his room", Mino asked. Migyung gulped.

"O-Oh he didn't get to tell you because you and mom weren't home. He's staying at his friends house for a few weeks before going on a competition at Canada", she said.

"What? He didn't told me that. I was about to ask him to play roblox with me", Mino pouted.

"What are you both talking about?", Mr. Lee magically appeared. Both of them flinch due to his sudden appearance.

"Dad! I didn't know you're home", Migyung ran and hugged her dad.

"I decided to come home early.....and by the way Sir Ali just told me about the incident. He said that both of you encountered a badly injured boy at the park?", Mr. Lee said.

"O-Oh yeah. Funfact, I just knew that guy the same day. He introduced himself to me. You're not mad right?", Migyung plays with her fingers.

"Mad? Why? You just helped someone. You can visit him with Sir Ali tomorrow ", Mr. Lee patted her back.

"Okay!", Migyung said.

"What boy? Am I the only one who doesn't know this?", Mino questioned. Migyung yawned to avoid explaining the story to Mino.

"I'm tired...dad please take him out of my room I want to sleep bye Goodnight", Migyung pushed him outside the room. She sighed and yanked her body on the soft mattress.
