Chapter 29

Migyung's POV

      I just arrived at the park and immediately saw Ji at the bench near the big lake. I sighed and walked towards him. I hope he's being for real and I trust him for this. Ji, who was playing with his phone lift his head up when he heard my footsteps. His face brightens.

"Oh hey, sit", Ji patted the empty place beside him. I nodded and sat beside him. I signalled my bodyguards to watch me from afar. They obeyed and stand next to a nearest pole.

"So tell me", I spoke.

"Okay....", he took a deep breath before slowly exhaling.

"Um, to be honest. I didn't even think of killing Sunghoon's mother. All of it are Jason's plan and I have to obey it. It's because......um will you promise me? Not to tell anyone?", he said and I could see the worried expression plastered on his face.

"I promise", I simply answered.

"Don't get shocked please. Okay....I'm Doctor Liu's son"

I gasped while covering my mouth. I didn't expect that he's turned out to be Doctor Liu's son. I frowned and cleared my throat.

"You're.... joking", I scoffed.

"No I'm not, Migyung. I'm being honest with you right now. My full name is Liu Ji"

"No way....", I looked down.

"You're probably thinking why I always obeyed what Jason asked me to do. It's because....he have something to use is as an advantage whenever I didn't do what he says"

"What? What is it though?", I questioned.

"I'm telling you because I believe you....."

"I used to be a drug dealer, Migyung"

"Are you being for real?...", I gasped once again.

"Yes....and Jason's the one who helped me get out from my awful life back then. But the thing is....he still have a photo of me drug dealing even though he said he wanted to delete it after I changed. Now, he uses it as an advantage", Ji explained and I realised, a tear fell of his cheek. I felt really really bad.

"I want to stop all Jason's plan but I couldn't.....I felt bad for my dad....a doctor who save lives have a son who just murdered someone. And THAT someone is HIS patient", Ji continued.

"Oh god....", I looked away, didn't even dare to look on his face.

"You have to help me. You're the only one who can help me"

"Me? How?"

"I know Jason's next plan. He wants to stop you from reporting about us. I decided that I'm not going to be on his side. I want to be on your side...", Ji said.

"Really....hmmm if that's so. I trust you and sure I could help you",

"Thank you, thank you thank you Migyung!", Ji went for a hug making me flinch a bit. I smiled and hugged him back.

"No problem. Right now, let's think of a plan", I said.

"Yes yes, we should", Ji wiped his tears as I chuckled seeing how excited he is.

Author's POV

"We're done now right? How about we get some fresh air?"

Jake yanked his body to the couch while letting out a small sigh. Sunghoon drank some cold water before deciding to answer Jake's question.

"Sure, where?"

"At the park? We could buy an ice cream there too if you want, it's my treat of course!", Jake hit Sunghoon's shoulder playfully.

"Okay okay, let's go"

"So what's your plans?

Jake spoke while enjoying his ice cream. Sunghoon's ice cream is almost finished since he's a very fast eater.Jake kept talking and asking questions to Sunghoon, to make sure he's feeling fine. Sunghoon turned to look at him. He took out his left hand from his pocket and sighed.

"I don't know. Should I accept Migyung's family offer?", Sunghoon replied.

"I don't know man. I understand that you're not ready to face all of this. But for my opinion, it's for your own good. Perhaps, that's the last thing your mom wants right? You have to, Hoon. She would be so disappointed if you don't accept the offer", Jake said as his ice cream began to melt and drips down the cone. He licked the cone clean.

It was silence. Sunghoon doesn't know what to say. What Jake said is right. That what his mom wants. He doesn't want to make her mom disappointed. Migyung's family would be so sad if he rejected them.

"I-I need some more time to think.....", Sunghoon said.

"Okay, suit yourself", Jake said as they began to walk towards the lake. As they went near the lake, Jake saw two familiar person sitting at one of the bench. Jake squinted his eyes to see them more clearly. But then he realised who they are.

"Wait, isn't that....Migyung?", Jake questioned as he pointed his index finger.

"Huh?", Sunghoon looks at the direction Jake pointed at.

"Who's she with?", Jake asked.

Sunghoon stared at them. As soon as he realise who she's with, he clenched his fist.

"Ji....."

"What? Who? Do you know that guy?"

"Yes....he's Jason's friend"

"Oh really? What is he doing with her? Where's Jason?"

Sunghoon looks around. There's no sign of Jason near them. Sunghoon gritted his teeth. He felt really pressed at that moment and he couldn't control it. Jake looks at him confused.

"Are you okay? Should we go and ask them—"

"No, let's just make sure Jason's not here. Let's stay here for a moment then we could go. There must be something they're going to do to her", Sunghoon sat on a bench not so far away from where they're sitting at. Jake felt confused but still sat on the bench. He looked at Sunghoon.

Why does he looked so pissed...?

Is he jealous?

Or he's just concern about Migyung's safety?
