Chapter 27

Ji's POV

I tiptoed inside my dad's room. Searching for his phone and luckily it was just on his nightstand. He's probably on his day off today since he's sick. I opened the lockscreen by taking his thumb and scanned it. There's a notification from Migyung. She sends videos and pictures of us. Wow dad didn't read it yet.I immediately deletes the videos and photos. How dare is she. She wants my relationship with dad to be over.

I sighed and put his phone back. Suddenly I heard the doorbell rang. Dad woke up as I quickly acted like I was trying to wake him up.

"Oh dad, you're awake"

"Ji? I think I heard the doorbell rang", he said with his raspy voice along with a slight cough.

"It's okay, I'll get it", I said and hurriedly walked downstairs.

I peeked through the window and gasped when I saw the person outside. Migyung? Oh my god what do I do? I bit my nails and tried to think of a way to hide myself. I grabbed a mask and my dad's sunglasses. Then, I opened the door.

"H-Hi miss how can I help you?", I said with my fake voice.

"Hi, is this Dr. Liu's house?", Migyung asked. Okay what should I respond?

"Y-Yes, who are you miss? I'm uh.....Mr. Parker, Dr. Liu's uh....gardener", I cleared my throat.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Parker. I'm Migyung. Can I see Dr. Liu?", she asked.

"Oh sorry Miss, Dr. Liu is sick. He wouldn't want any visitors today", I said. What am I? A butler? I'm cringing myself.

"Oh so that's why he hasn't answered my texts. I hope he gets well soon, here I brought this for him. Can you give this to him?", she gave me the basket of fruits.

"Sure, no problem. I'll let him know that you came here", I said.

"Okay thank you", she smiled and walked away.

"You're welcome......"

I closed the door and sighed. I took off the sunglasses and mask. I put the basket on the table before sitting on the ottoman. I took a glance on the window and saw her getting inside a porsche.

She's actually so nice.

"Nice job Ji, you can rest now", my coach said as his phone suddenly rang. I nodded and sighed. I got out from the ice rink before opening my shoes. I was so tired with all of the trainings, but thankfully my hard work paid off. Coach is satisfied with my performance today.

I looked at coach, he's on a phone call and his face tells me that the phone call is very unpleasant. A worried expression plastered on his face. I wiped my sweats with a towel before heading towards him.

"Is everything alright?", I asked as soon as he ended the call.

"Nope, Sunghoon's mom is in the hospital", he sigh and face palmed himself.

"Pfft what did he do now?", someone spoke and of course it's Jason. Sunghoon is his huge enemy. But actually I think he's not just hate him, he's jealous of him. Well, I admit it that Sunghoon is way better than Jason, but of course friends come first. We had been friends since childhood so I had to support him.

"I hope it's not worse, because his mom needs oxygen support. Anyways, I'm heading to the cafe for a quick break, do you guys wanna come? It's okay if you have plans", the coach said before grabbing his bag.

"Sure—"

"Uh no! Actually we have plans", Jason cuts my word off.

"We.....do?"

"Yeah! Did you forgot? We're working on an assignment, right?", Jason raised his eyebrows, I immediately know what he meant.

"O-Oh! Yeah, pardon me....I forgot about it", I chuckled nervously.

"Alright see you boys tomorrow. I guess we have to spend our practice without our leader", he sighed before heading out.

"oUr LeAdEr", Jason rolled his eyes before wearing his hoodie.

"Okay now, what the 'actual plan'?", I crossed my arms.

"Hehe, this is going to be exciting!"

"Really? What is it?", my face brightens.

"Hm....I'm thinking of....something cruel but exciting"

"Okay? What is it? Please don't do something stupid"

"Nah....not something stupid but something only professional can do", Jason smirk. I feel quiet uneasy about it.

"You heard what happened to Sunghoon's mom right? And she's obviously unstable and probably dying"

"Yah how could you say that!"

"I know I know, it's cruel but yeah it's the best idea to make Sunghoon's life ruined"

Jason laughed scarily. I started getting goosebumps all over my body. My heart skipped a beat when I thought about what he wants to do.

"W-Wait, d-don't tell me that....."

"Yes", Jason immediately answered making me back away.

"No way! I don't want you to be a murderer"

"I'm not doing this alone, of course"

I went silent. I shook my head and grabbed my bags before running towards my locker.

"Yah! Where do you think you're going"

"Tell me you're not being serious", I answered as I arrived at my locker.

"I'm f*cking serious man! This will make my life even more better!"

"Better? By killing people? You're so unbelievable....", I pushed his shoulder.

"Man....you have to join me"

"I will never! If you want to do it, do it alone. I don't want to end up in prison", I was about to leave until he grabbed my sleeves.

"You'll regret if you don't join me"

"Why should I?"

"Because I will tell everyone about the secret. I'll tell your father too", Jason smirked. My eyes went wide.

"No! Please!"

"Join me"

"No, why are you like this? Don't you have anything else to do?"

"Yes, I'll upload pictures of you on the social media, that's the other thing to do instead of um......killing?", Jason slyly smirked.

I'm doomed. I have no any other options....I have to....

"Fine....but promise not to upload it"

"Superb! Tonight, meet me at the gazebo near the hospital, see ya!", he pats my shoulder before slowly walking away.

Is Jason really my friend?

Why does he kept the pictures from 2 years ago?
