4 weeks later...

"Dozing off again?", said Hani as she put her plates on the table. Migyung immediately snapped out of her thoughts. Even with the noisy surroundings in the cafeteria, she managed to doze off.

"Hm? N-No...", she awkwardly played with her food.

Suddenly Jake and Jungwon appeared as they took a seat in front of them. They greeted Migyung with a soft smile.

"You miss him, don't you?" Hani said, giving her a sly smirk.

Migyung looked down. It was pretty obvious, so she shouldn't lie about it. It had been three weeks since they last saw each other face to face. They could only chat at night since Sunghoon was pretty busy in Canada during the day.

"Kinda...", she answered.

"When will he come home?" asked Jungwon.

"I'm not sure...he said this week but don't know when," Migyung said and continued to play with her food. Hani shook her head and grabbed her wrist.

"If you're not going to eat it, I'll eat it," said Hani.

"Don't, unless you want to get chubbier," Jungwon sarcastically said.

"Yah!" Hani touched both her cheeks before hitting Jungwon on his head.

"Yah yah! Eat first then fight later," Jake spoke, making them gulp and continue to enjoy their meal. He looked at Migyung and let out a slight sigh.

"Eat, he'll get worried if you don't eat," Jake said.

Migyung nodded and took the first bite of the rice ball but still had a sad expression on her face.

"You guys video call every night, right? You know how well he's doing there, right?" Jake asked.

"Yeah...but I just miss him so much. His touch, his presence...everything," Migyung said.

"I understand...let's eat first," Jake put his rice ball into Migyung's plate. Then he continued to eat his remaining foods.

At night...

"Migyung, are you done?" Mino knocked on the door before slowly turning the doorknob. He received no response from her but saw her sitting at her dressing table, staring at herself with her wet hair. He shook his head when he realized that she wasn't ready yet.

"Migyung...why is your hair still wet?" he said and grabbed the hairdryer.

"Oppa...I miss him...," she said.

Mino sighed as he put back the hairdryer he took from where it used to be. He pulled his sister's chair facing him.

"Migyung...please, it's family dinner tonight...forget about him for now."

"He is family. When will he come home?" she sobbed.

"As soon as possible. I'm sure he misses you too. Let's hope for the best for him so he can bring back home a success. Now let me help you dry your hair," he grabbed the hairdryer and began to dry her hair. She took a deep breath and wiped her tears.

I'm strong...

I'm strong..

I'm strong...

Earphones plugged into his ears as he pulled his luggage and headed towards the waiting area. He thought that someone he was expecting had arrived, but it turned out he was the one who was early. He took a seat on one of the benches and opened his phone when he heard it beeped.

_____

: 📍location : this is the restaurant. Just tell them your and my name so they will know that you're one of us. Don't be late!

______

He turned off his phone as a smile formed on his face. Suddenly, he felt a pat on his shoulder, making him flinch.

"Waiting for someone? Your girlfriend?" asked his coach.

"Oh no...my brother. I'm planning to surprise her. She doesn't know I'm coming home today," he smiled.

"Oh, okay. She must be so happy to see you. I just want to say that I'm proud of you and sorry if I made you offended or upset during this trip. Good luck! I'll get going, stay safe!" his coach walked away and headed towards his wife and kids.

Thankfully, his coach had changed after what happened. He regretted forcing his trainee to train nonstop because he had been putting him at a high risk. He now cares more about other trainees other than Park Sunghoon.

He looked at his bag and opened it. He searched for something, and a smile appeared on his face when he found it. A medal.

"Canada's Ice Olympic 2023 1st place"

"This is for you..."

As soon as she stepped into the restaurant, the sound of orchestral music was heard, grabbing her attention. She smiled when she saw the beautiful aesthetics that matched her taste. The music made her feel calm and relaxed.

"You like it?" Mrs. Lee asked as she held Migyung's shoulders.

"Yes, it's so pretty," she looked around the table. Unexpectedly, it was decorated differently than other tables, piquing her curiosity. She took a seat next to her phone and simply took out her camera to take aesthetic photos.

Mino smiled and just watched her.

"May I take your orders, please?" said a waiter who approached.

They told the waiter their orders, and then she bowed and excused herself. Migyung took a deep breath and looked at Mr. Lee.

"I'm...happy because I can spend time with you all, especially dad. You've always been so busy," Migyung said, letting out a small chuckle.

"Aigoo...but you're actually right. I'm glad I have my free time to spend with you all," Mr. Lee responded.

They all laughed. Then, Mrs. Lee looked at her husband before slowly looking at Mino. They gave each other a signal, but Migyung didn't realize it since she was busy admiring the view.

"Migyung," Mrs. Lee called out.

"Hm?" she turned her attention to her.

"Close your eyes," said Mrs. Lee. Migyung gave her a questioning look.

"Why?" she looked at her dad and then at Mino, raising her eyebrows. He acted like he didn't know anything and shrugged his shoulders.

"Just close them," Mrs. Lee repeated.

"O-Okay...," she slowly closed her eyes, waiting to see what was going to happen. Her heart started beating faster than before.

Suddenly, she felt something slide onto her chest. She smiled, thinking it might be a necklace, but then she frowned. It felt heavy and big. She was curious about it.

"What's this? Can I open my eyes now?" Migyung asked.

"Yes..."

She slowly opened her eyes and quickly looked at what was hanging on her neck.

"A...medal?" she chuckled, thinking her family was playing a prank on her.

But then she squinted to read the details on the medal.

"Canada's Ice Olympic 2023...first place?" she looked at them again as her heart started to beat faster, like it was about to burst.

"Mom...dad...," she turned around.

It felt like a dream...

Is this really a dream?

Should I wake up?

I'm not dreaming, right?

"S-Sunghoon..."
