Chapter 8

Migyung slowly opens the door knob so it wouldn't make so much noise. It's 12 p.m. o'clock, and she's planning to sneak out to buy a phone. You must be wondering why she had to sneak out, this is why....

FLASHBACK

"Let's watch a movie tonight at our cinema, I'd always wanted to watch together with you guys", Mr. Lee, which is Migyung's dad spoke.

"Really? Wow, you barely spends time with us, are you free today?", mom responded as she quickly walks out from the kitchen.

"Yeah! That's why I decided to have a family hangout tonight!", says Mr. Lee

Migyung, Mino and also Mrs. Lee couldn't even tell how happy they are when they finally get to spend their time with Mr. Lee. He don't usually spends time with them since he's a busy hardworking man.

"So Mino and Migyung, are you okay with that?", asked Mrs. Lee.

"Yes of course!", said Mino excitedly.

Migyung hesitates and kept quiet. She had to buy the phone today, but she don't want to miss this moment.

"I'm on it!", she said as they cheered and couldn't wait for tonight.

END OF FLASHBACK

The movie ended at almost 12 p.m. She asked her parents to go out but they won't let her. But she really have to go today.

"I'm sorry mom and dad....I just want to fix my mistake....", she said to herself before rushing downstairs. She couldn't take the elevator since it will make a lot of noise. She already called his dad's driver to come over.

"Miss Migyung, are you sure your parents give you permission to go out at this hour?", ask the driver.

"Y-yeah! They're not sleeping yet so they gave me...", she lied.

"I know you lied. Listen Miss, I will be in a big trouble if I got caught helping you..."

"Aish just drive, they wouldn't know...unless if you didn't keep your shut. Okay how about I pay you?", Migyung said.

"I'm so sorry miss, I'm your dad's driver. I cannot accept any money from anyone else....even if you're his daughter", said the driver making her pissed off.

"Ugh whatever! I'll just walk!", Migyung opens the door and ran away from the driver.

"Miss! Migyung! Hey stop!", the driver tries to catch her but he's too old to run.

"Aish that girl.....", the driver sighed and got back into his car.

"Ugh my legs are hurting!", Migyung yelled in frustration as she finally arrives at the phone shop. She was all sweaty and tries to catch her breath. She walked inside to buy a phone. There was so many options so she just decided to buy him an Iphone 11.

"Thank you...", she thanked the cashier before walking out from the store. She saw a supermarket nearby so she decided to stop by and buy some drinks since she's exhausted after all of the running.

She runs again towards the supermarket. She catches her breath while fixing her hair that is all messed up and wet. She almost looked like a homeless person. She grabbed a mineral water and puts it on the cashier.

"Pay wave plea—Sunghoon?", she was shocked to see Sunghoon there. So this is where he works?

"Touch your card here", Sunghoon coldly said, ignoring her. He acted like they don't know each other.

"Yah Sunghoon, hello do you hear me?", she waved her hands on his face.

But he still with his blank expression and acts like she wasn't even there. She sighed and touch her card. He gave her a receipt before plugging on his earphones.

"Aish this awful jerk....", Migyung said to herself before stepping out from the supermarket. But suddenly, it suddenly rains.

"Ugh why my life could get any worse!", she squealed and ran back inside.

"Hey do you sell umbrellas here?", ask Migyung towards the cold cashier guy.

"It's all sold out....", Sunghoon replied and pointed at an empty rack without looking at her.

"Well okay thanks for NOTHING. Could I at least get a plastic bag?"

Sunghoon takes something under the table and puts it on the counter. She sighed and took it. She sends him a last glare before putting the items she had bought in the plastic. The rain got more heavier making her gulp.

"I have to run again but with the heavy rain?", she said to herself. She got out from the market and let herself wet.

"Ah cold!", she steps back inside as her actions is being watched by the cashier.

"Yah....what are you doing? Stop playing", said Sunghoon.

"Don't you see I'm trying to get myself wet on purpose but I can't? Ugh why did I tell about it to someone who probably doesn't care....", Migyung sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Don't you have a car? Are you walking home?", asked Sunghoon.

Why did he suddenly asking so many questions?

"Yes I am, it's none of your business....

Sunghoon kept quiet.

"Why is she walking in the rain alone....it's even 12:34 p.m.....", Sunghoon said to herself.

"Ugh screw it!", Migyung squealed and ran as fast as she could. Sunghoon was shocked to see her running in the heavy rain with no protection....

Sunghoon pov

I actually have one umbrella for myself. Should I give it to her? No, if I give it to her, how am I suppose to go home? But I have a car, so I could get home easily. Ugh I don't have to give it, just don't care about her!

"Ugh screw it!", she suddenly ran outside making me gasped. Seriously? She's really doing it?

"Ugh Migyung why are you doing this to me!"

I quickly grabbed my umbrella and ran outside. Luckily I saw my partner nearby and signalled him to handle the supermarket for a moment.

Author pov

Migyung is having trouble to see her surroundings since the rain is blurring her vision. She covers her head with her arms and squinted her eyes multiple times. By doing that, she can barely see what's in front of her. Suddenly she tripped when her slippers ripped.

"Ahh!", she screamed before ended up on the ground. Her knee ended up bleeding as she groaned in pain. She tried to stand up but she couldn't, until a figure stops by.

"M-Migyung....are you okay? You're bleeding", said the person. She looked up and saw Sunghoon holding an umbrella.

Migyung couldn't respond to his because how bad the pain was. Sunghoon didn't know what to do. He doesn't want to get involved with her but he has know why he feels like he wants to help her.

He took a deep breath and carried her bridal style without any hesitation making her gasped. He brought her towards a nearby shelter.

"Wait here", he said before running towards the supermarket.

Migyung was still confused.

"Did he....just carried me?"

Is this a dream?
