Chapter 30

Migyung's POV

     I bid Ji goodbye with a soft smile on my face before shoving a small chocolate cadbury that Ji just gave. As soon as Ji's figure started to fade away, I decided to stay here longer and admire the view of the lake. I don't usually come to a place like this. I seemed to like it now.

I inhale the smell of the cold breeze. I walked near towards the lake fence. There's so many people here now. I felt like I was too addicted to the view, so I took out my phone and took couple pictures. The cloud are actually a bit darker, maybe it was about to rain.

I smiled while scrolling on the pictures I just took. But suddenly my phone rang.

Author's POV

Sunghoon peeked his head through the high fences. Well, obviously he was trying to look at Migyung. Jake looks at him, frowning.

"Why is he acting this way?", Jake said to himself.

"Hey, should we go now.....?", Jake spoke.

"Not yet", Sunghoon replied, not taking his eyes off her.

Suddenly she's calling someone. After the call ends, she walked out from the park. Sunghoon sighed and turned his attention back to his best friend who's already crossing his arms. Sunghoon stared at him and there's an awkward silence between them. No one even decided to speak. They keep on staring at each other, like in a kdrama. Jake raised his other eyebrow while Sunghoon raised both of his eyebrows, signalling Jake to stop staring at him. Jake walked closer to him.

"You like her"

"No", Sunghoon simply respond and was about to walk away until Jake grabbed his wrist.

"You really are"

"No I'm not"

"It seems like it"

"I said I'm not!", Sunghoon raised his voice which dragged everyone's attention . Jake lets go of Sunghoon as he rushed towards Jake's car.

Jake sighed and bit his bottom lip before also getting inside his car.

Migyung's POV

I laid on my comfy bed with my bluetooth earphones plugged in. My eyes are focusing on the TV's screen, watching True Beauty for the 14th time. I've got nothing else to do. It suddenly rains outside. I hugged my pillow as my eyes started to feel tired. I don't want to end the episode, I really want to watch what happened after Ju Kyung's brother sold Seojun's helmet. He would be so dead. Suddenly I heard a knock on the door. I quickly paused it and gave the person permission to come in.

"Oh hey Mino", I got up and sat on my bed.

I checked the time and realised that he's home early.

"You're early today", I said.

"Well, everyone predicted that there'll going to be a flood near my workplace. So I had to go home early", Mino responded as he sat besides me. He looked at my TV screen and shook his head.

"True beauty? Again?", he chuckled.

"Yeah why?"

"I think you need a boyfriend", he sarcastically said making me hit him with my pillow.

"Yah, what brings you here anyways?", I asked.

"Oh right, actually I have something to discuss with you", he stand up and walked around. I frowned.

"What is it?", I asked and waited patiently for his response.

"How's you and Sunghoon?"

I went silent.

"How what?"

"You know what I mean. Do you guys still talk to each other?"

"No"

"Why?"

"B-Because I don't want to"

"I know you actually want to"

"W-What? I said I-I'm not—"

"Yes you are, then why does your cheeks became red?"

I quickly covers my red cheeks with both of my hands.

"Y-Yah! What's your intention?", I glared at him.

Mino took a deep breath.

"Migyung, you know....I think you should marry him"

"H-Huh? Why?"

"Mom and Mrs. Park had made a promise. They wanted to marry you both before Mrs. Park died"

"Why are they making that kind of promise? Mino, you also know that Sunghoon doesn't like me and he wouldn't accept it"

"But do you accept it?"

I didn't respond and kept my mouth shut when he said that. Really, do I want to marry him?

"You only mentioned that HE doesn't want to. But YOU want to right?"

"Sunghoon just leave it there we have to go out now!"

Jake tried to pull him but he kept trying to save his belongings. They just arrived at Sunghoon's house and its already flooded. The road was so busy so they arrived late.

"Just go! I have to save these first!", Sunghoon took all the frame pictures one by one.

"Hurry! The water is rising!", an old man from outside yelled. Everyone waited for them inside the boat. Sunghoon was still collecting his things.

"Okay let's go!", Sunghoon yelled while hugging all his things.

"Be careful—"

"AH!"
