Chapter 22

Jake's POV

As soon as I arrived, I told Jungwon to stay in the car while I go get Sunghoon inside the hospital. He probably didn't brought an umbrella. I went to the back seat and reached for an umbrella before walking inside the hospital. I thought it's going to be hard for me to find him since the hospital is huge but turns out he's just a few steps away from the entrance.

"Sunghoon", I called out his name as he looks at me. His face looks so tired.

"Oh Jake, let's go now. I have something to tell you"

Author's POV

A guy wearing a doctor's outfit with light blue mask and a cap tiptoed inside the ward with his friend who's wearing a green hoodie with grey mask.

"D-Do we have to-"

"Just f*cking pull it", said the guy who's wearing the green hoodie.

"If my dad finds out about this, I would be so dead! What if he's fired?", the guy who's wearing his dad's doctor's blazer said.

"Shut up! Nothing's going to happen okay? Just pull it so we can go"

"Do you think the nurse had awake?"

"No the effect will last until tomorrow. Oh god I have to do it myself, give me that!", he snatched a cloth from his friend and pulled the oxygen plug.

The patient started to have trouble breathing. The guy in green hoodie smirked while the guy in doctor's blazer gulped.

"Let's go", he said and dragged his friend outside from the building.

"So....if you do this....what will you get huh? You're murdering someone", said the guy who just opened the blazer and shove it inside his bag. He's wearing a white shirt.

"I will get so many things...."

"What do you mean...?"

"You know. Without the woman, he can no longer live. No one responsible who could take care of him. He will end up on the streets begging for money and foods. And I......will get his position and popularity. Well, he don't deserve to be popular. He's just an ice cold man who loves to live in his own world......"

"I......"

"Will be the next Ice Prince....."

Timeskip...

"What story that is so important you wanted to tell us?"

Jake spoke as he placed three cans of Coca Cola on the glass table. Jungwon opens one and quickly drank it. He looked like he haven't drank for years.

"I don't know....it's kind of weird and you guys would never believe it", Sunghoon said with a straight face.

"Just tell us already", Jake said.

Sunghoon looks at them and crossed his legs before taking a deep breath. He then exhales while clearing his throat.

"My mom....wants me to marry Migyung"

"What?!", Jake said while Jungwon accidentally spat the Coca Cola from his mouth at Sunghoon's face. Two of them couldn't believe what they just heard.

"Sorry Sunghoon! I'll get napkin", Jungwon panicked and ran towards the kitchen. He could feel Sunghoon's deadly eyes on him.

"Are you serious? Your mom know her?", Jake spoke.

"Yes, her mother and my mom are very close. Her family helped us alot. I'm going to be honest with you, I really am poor. I didn't know it was Migyung's family at first until she transferred to our school. My mom asked me to marry her right in front of her. Don't you know how embarrassed I am? I even shouted at her because I thought she planned all of this"

"You shouted at her?", Jungwon asked as he innocently wiped Sunghoon's face with a napkin.

"I can do it myself", Sunghoon snatched the napkin from Jungwon and began to wipe his face.

"Continue", Jake spoke.

"The reason why mom asked me to marry her is.....um....she said she's afraid she will leave me one day due to her health condition. She doesn't want me to be lonely. But I will never marry her", Sunghoon continues.

Everyone went silent.

"Are you going to accept it?"

"No of course not! I believe that I will stay with my mom forever. I know she's strong. She's the only one I have and no one could ever replace her", Sunghoon really expressed his feelings. Jungwon and Jake felt bad, he's being through so much.

"But, does Migyung accept it?

Migyung's POV

It's 12:30 a.m. and I still couldn't sleep. I felt like something is not right. Thinking about earlier, I felt bad at Mrs. Park. She's suffering. She wants all the best for her son. But not like this.....I don't even know him much. What I know about him is he's that kind of person who likes to shout at people, a very cold jerk who kept a straight face 24 hours straight, selfish , doesn't know what love is, doesn't care about other people, only about himself and lastly handsome but cruel.

That's quite a lot....

But all of them are red flags...

Is there even a good side of him?
