Chapter 21

"I'm not going to hate you if you're not being a total attention seeker"

Mino stopped his tracks when he heard those words coming out from a room near the toilet. He was actually planning to do some business in the toilet but the noises caught his attention.

"Migyung? And....Sunghoon", he said to himself as he recognised their voices. He was eavesdropping the whole conversation without them knowing.

Sunghoon sounds so mad at Migyung. Mino felt really curious and really want to know what happened so he stayed there until the argument ends.

"I'm sorry, Sunghoon. I promise I'll be better, I think I should go now, we have school tomorrow", Migyung said as Mino heard footsteps approaching so he quickly ran inside the toilet and closed the door shut before locking it. He sigh as relief that he didn't get caught.

He took out his phone and pretended that he's still calling someone. He changed his mind about doing some business in there and felt like he wants to go home.

He walked out as he saw Migyung and Mrs. Park at the living room.

Sunghoon went silence when Mino told him everything. He thought no one could heard them especially his mom.

"Why are you so mad at my sister? Did she do something to you? What was the reason? Deep inside my heart, I have a feeling that you had shouted at her behind my back....", he walked closer to Sunghoon.

"Bro, she's too soft and loving, and you're too harsh and heartless......", Mino continues.

Sunghoon had lost his words. Mino's words is so true and it makes his heart scattered into pieces. Did he realised now? How cold he is? The atmosphere ended when a doctor came. All three of them brought their attention to the doctor.

"Doctor Liu! How's my mom?", Sunghoon immediately asked.

Doctor Liu is the doctor who always check up on Mrs. Park. He and Mrs. Park's family are very close.He softly smiled before taking off his glasses.

"Well, didn't I tell you not to stress her out hm? You know her heart will get more weaker so avoid something stressful happens. Your mom is in a stable condition now", doctor said.

"Hm....I'm sorry. But can she come home today?", Sunghoon answered.

"Um I'm afraid not because I want to check her condition 24 hours before I could let her go", Doctor Liu answered.

Sunghoon looks down and sighed.

"Can I see her?", Sunghoon asked.

"Sure, but only one person can enter in one time, I'm sorry Mrs. Lee and you are....?", Doctor Liu said.

"Mino", Mino answered.

"Mino, alright I'll see you all later", he bows before walking pass them and went towards a nurse.

"I'll go first", Sunghoon said and walked towards his mom's ward.

Someone's POV

    "I think it's going to rain, do you bring an umbrella?"

     Someone who just came out from the bookstore spoke. I was a bit startled by his appearance.

"Gosh you scared me, did you found the book?", I said.

"Sorry hehe, um yeah here it is", he giggled and hands me the book he had been wanting to buy.

"Alright, let's go—"

    Suddenly, a sound of pouring rain heard as my hair started to get wet. I quickly opens my jacket and signalled him to also do what I did with his jacket. We ran inside our car safely.

"Phew I could lose 1 kilograms!", I said and rested my head on my car seat.

"Pfft", someone spoke.

"What?"

"Nothing, can we have ice cream?", he changed the topic.

"Ice cream? In the rain? Jungwon, you're going to be sick, I'm sending you back home", I said and started the engine.

"Awh...", Jungwon pouted.

I shook my head and began to press on the gas. The rain is really heavy and I could barely see the road. Suddenly my phone beeped. I took a glance towards it and saw Sunghoon's name pops out.

"Jungwon, can you read that for me?", I said while my eyes are still focusing on the blurry road with my hands still on the steering wheel.

Jungwon took my phone and opens the message I received from Sunghoon.

"Jake, do you mind picking me up at the usual hospital? My mom got warded and I'm thinking about staying with you tonight, is it okay?", Jungwon read it out loud.

"Again? Did he stresses his mom again?", I shook my head.

"I don't know, maybe? So he's planning on sleeping at your house tonight? Well me too! I want to join the sleepover!", Jungwon got excited as he shakes my right arm.

"Yah! Yah I'm driving, do you want to end your life right now?", I yelled but not to harsh.

"Sorry, but can I?"

"Ugh fine.."

I would never reject if Jungwon wants to sleepover. It isn't a big deal though. He would say that it is unfair that Sunghoon gets to sleepover with me but he can't. That's how clingy he is.

"Reply him. Say that I'm on the way", I said as Jungwon did what I said.

Author's POV

Migyung sat on her bed while hugging her knees. She thought it would be so good if she lives a normal life in a normal school with normal friends. But turns out, everything messed up.

Why do mom planned all of this?

What's her intention?
