Cuddled into the arms of Liam the pair watch a movie, Liam unaware of how out of it Sam is.

Lost in his thoughts about Colby, he misses him.

He wants to hang out with him, he wishes he would've just said his name if he knew he'd be so upset about it and not understand what he was thinking at the time.

Sam glances up at Liam and forces a small smile on his face when he looks back at him.

Liam smiles back before he leans down and kisses his cheek, pulling the blonde closer.

Sam scrunches his face as he slowly drops his head on his chest why does this feel so.. wrong?

"You okay hun? your being a bit quiet" Sam hums "wha- yeah I'm fine, I mean we are watching a movie can't talk over that can I?"

Liam chuckles "your silly."

Sam hums forcing out a giggle feeling his lips press against his head.

Sam frowns, remembering the day Colby had said the same thing to him.

Suddenly Sam sits up, his hand on Liam's chest "hey, how about we do something?" he abruptly asks.

Liam hums in agreement "sure, like what?"

Thinking for a moment the blonde speaks "hm, I dunno something fun, let's go somewhere."

"Oh! how about we go bowling!"

Sam proposes, saying the first thing that comes to mind.

"Bowling? with just two people?"

Sam shrugs "well yeah, I guess."

"I suppose baby, if that's what you would like" he murmurs as he sits up.

Sam pouts "I guess your right, two people is a little boring" he sighs.

"Oh! maybe I can invite a friend?" Sam asks, maybe this is how he can get to see Colby.

"Mh' and who's that?"

Sam slowly shrugs, looking in his lap.

Maybe not.

"Babe?" Liam furrows his brows "do I know this friend of yours?"

Sam slowly nods "yeah.. kinda I guess, I've told you about him."

Liam nods "who is it?" he asks gently placing his hand on his thigh, rubbing it soothingly sensing the slight mood change.

"Promise you wont be mad?" Sam whispers, looking up at him.

Liam's face falls slightly.

"Please! promise you won't!" he rushes out.

"Okay.. okay I won't, just, who is it?" Liam agrees begrudgingly.

Sam bites his lip "it's.. it's Colby" he answers hesitantly.

Liam gives him a look "Sam.."

"Please! I know you said you don't like him or whatever but I promise he's a really great guy!" he rushes out.

He grabs onto Liam's hands "please Li, please. It'll be so fun."

"Baby.. I don't trust him, he's too close to you."

Sam frowns "I know but- but it's not how you think! we're only friends I promise! he doesn't like me like that and neither do I, we're friends, and friends only."

Sam feels part of his heart break from his words.

"Only friends" he whispers almost like he's talking to himself.
