Tears [Carlos x Lando]

12. secret

-Landos view-
It's already evening when carlos phone suddenly rings. I look at him as he picks up „yeah." he says as i watch him. Carlos eyes widen and he says „i'm coming right now." and ends the call. „George and alex broke up. George needs me right now i'll be back soon." he says and takes his jacket. „Oh.. okay." i say sadly and sigh. I sit up and he leaves.

Some hours passed. It's already 1:00 a.m. And carlos still isn't here. I stand up and take my keys. I leave my hotel room and go one floor up. I knock on a door mutiply times and then max opened the door. „Lando it's already 1 a.m. What the fuck are you doing here." max says and rubs his eyes. When he looks up at me and sees how sad i look he looks worried at me. „Max i know it's late but i need you." i say with teary eyes and he nods. „I will tell daniel and get my jacket." he says and goes back inside.
When max comes back he suggests to go for a walk

We went outside to a park and we sat down on a bench. „So lando, whats up with you?" max asks me and looks at me. I sigh and look at him. „This evening. George called carlos, alex and george broke up. Carlos went to george to be there for him and he hasn't returned" i say quietly.  Max looks at me seriously „do you think he is cheating on you?" max asks me and i shake my head. „Carlos wouldn't do that. I trust him. It's just that.. i.. i hate george, i can't stand to see or hear him. I can't stand that carlos is his best friend." i say. max sighs „You have to accept that he is his best friend." max responds. „Of course i know, i don't want to ruin their friendship because it would hurt carlos. But you all have no clue how he really is." i whisper. Max looks at me seriously „lando what did he do?" he asks. I look at him and i first hesitate. Then i start to talk. „You know. The day where george came over to your house and.. and i locked myself in the bathroom." i say. „Yes. What happend lando." max says and keeps listening to me. „George followed me and when i wanted to close the door, he pushed it open and closed it." i say. Max eyes widen and he says quietly „what happend." he asks again. „He packed me by my throat.. and said he wished i would've died. Then he squeezed my throat so hard that i couldn't breath.. i kicked him and then i fell to the ground." i say and a tear rolls down my cheek. I look in max eyes and i can only see anger in it. He stands up and shouts „HE DID WHAT?? AND CARLOS IS STILL HIS FRIEND??" i pull max down to sit back down. „I didn't tell carlos." i say. Max stares at me shocked. „Lando?! Why the fuck didn't you tell him!!?" he says angrily. „I.. I just couldn't. I can't max." i look back up to max with my teary eyes. Max stands up again „YOU HAVE TO TELL HIM LANDO! THAT'S NOT OKAY THAT'S DISGUSTING WHAT HE DID" max screams at me and i recoil. „I just can't! I can't ruin their friendship! He is his dearest friend, he helped him through a lot." i say. „Lando you exactly now, that you are the most important person in his life. He would stop anything he does if you need him, anything even if he's in the most important moment in his life he would stop it to be with you, he would choose you over anyone. And if he hears what george did he will end him." max says. I look at him with teary eyes. „If you don't believe me. Call him right now." he takes my phone and to hand it to me but i refuse. „I still don't want to tell him max." i say. „Lando i know. And i won't force you to tell him but you really need him right now." max says and i take the phone from him. I dial his number and he picks up instantly. Max takes the phone and puts it on speaker. Carlos starts talking „yes babe? I can't really talk now because i am habing a conversation with george." he says. Max looks at me and nods. „Carlos.. i.. i need you." i say quietly. Carlos responds. „I'm coming. Send me your location." he says and then we hear him talking with george. „I have to go sorry lando needs me." we hear carlos  say „but i need you more than he does." george says. „Sorry bye." carlos says and he shuts the door. I hang up and send him my location. „See i told you." max says. and stands up. „I will go now." max says and slowly leaves. He turns arround to me. „Lando tell him." max says and really leaves.

Some Minutes pass and i still wait for carlos on the bench my eyes get teary again and i look up. I see carlos who is runs to me. He pulle me up to him and gives me a big hug. „Lando what happend whats wrong." he asks and i hesitate to speak at first. „why were you gone for so long i waited for you." i say quietly and bury my face in his chest. „I am so sorry i didn't notice how much time passed but i wanted to be here for him. He was always there for me too." he says and pets my back and i started to cry quietly. I can't do this to him. I can't tell him. I let go of him and step back. „I understand sorry.. we should go home." i take his hand and wipe my tears away with the other.
