Alex:
When I woke up, the other morning, I noticed Nigel was lying with his cheek on my chest. Apparently I moved a bit in my sleep. I slowly gazed up, hearing my father who seemed to knock on the doors of the other students.
“Fellows, wake up! It's a special day today!”
I softly began to stroke through Nigel his hair as I widened my eyes.
'Nigel,' I mumbled, softly pressing him against the mattress. 'Nigel, wake up. My father is coming.'
Nigel:
Nigel's eyes opened slowly, only to find he had placed his head on Alex' chest. When did that happen? He could remember asking Alex to come and join him in his bed, but he couldn't remember him actually doing so. It was all black, like he'd fallen into coma.
It took a moment before Nigel realized Alex was talking to him, and the moment he did he suddenly pushed Alex out of the bed, to let him fall down on the ground next to him.
"Get under the bed," he hissed quickly. If the headmaster was here already, it would mean that he'd already been past Alex' room and had found it empty.. This meant a look into Nigel's room was inevitable.
And just as he predicted the door opened just as Alex had gotten under the bed, and Alex' father looked around the room like an eagle searching for pray. When he was convinced Nigel was the only one in the room he finally turned his head to Nigel, slightly taken aback and ashamed of his rude entrance now. He cleared his throat.
"I'm sorry, but I'm looking for mister Forbes. He's not in his bed. Did you see him, perhaps?"
Nigel lifted his eyebrows innocently and shook his head.
"Not since the last time.." he mumbled. And that was the only way Nigel could lie perfectly well.. When it was actually the truth. Of course he hadn't seen Alex since the last time he saw him. Little did the headmaster know, that the last time was only seconds ago, and not that Friday night.
"..What's going on then? A special day, sir?"
Alex:
When I saw how Nigel slowly opened his eyes, I smirked lightly. It was incredibly cute how he opened his eyes, staring at me with such an innocent gaze like he had no idea what was going on. Of course, it was partially true, through. Just as I wanted to hide myself under the sheets - which would probably be the dumbest thing ever - he pushed me out of the bed what made me fell on the ground with a soft groan. I frowned my brows as I stared at him, lightly annoyed by the pain that ran up to my spine. My tailbone. When he told me to hid under the bed, I crawled as fast as I could underneath his bed - pushing the rubbish away, although it were only a couple of little boxes and a trunk.
I held my breath when I could see my father his feet standing in the centre of the doorway. It was remarkable how he first seemed to question Nigel where I was. Like he expected me to be with Nigel. I narrowed my eyes. I knew I wasn't going to be that safe any more. My father seemed to expect something. He was smelling that there was something wrong between us. I smirked, though, when I heard Nigel his perfect lie. I hoped he wasn't about to screw it up this time. He was a terrible liar after all.
When Nigel asked him a question, I could hear how my father gasped surprisingly.
'Today is the day that a couple of highly educated professors will come to visit our school mister Colbie. Haven't you heard that during class? It should have been told everyone. Anyhow, today they will come here to tell us something about their previous educations. There are also some tickets available to visit their highly educated schools for those who are interested to. It depends on your personal grades, though. But I'm not doubting about your highly developed brain. It's possible that some of them will come to visit you personally, they've already heard several things about you since you are one of our precious students.'
