Alex:

I passed him gently by, pursing my lips while nodding slowly. Okay, this had been awkward. Before I walked through the doorway, I had stared at him for a few seconds. Then, after a few seconds, I walked through the doorway, trying to make my way towards to my room to dress me. Apparently, my father stood in the same corridor. His head turned immediately to my direction, like he had seen it with the back of his head.

'Mister Forbes,' he hissed when his head turned into a tomato. I swallowed and kept standing frozen on the place I stood, right in front of Nigel his door that was still opened.

'Where have you been? I've watched everywhere for you! You weren't in your bedroom.'

I pursed my lips as I lightly lifted my chin, not even feeling in the slightest trouble. I seemed to have a perfect explanation for this.

'I'm sorry, father. I couldn't sleep any more, after waking so early in the morning. I've went secretly to the library, trying to find a very interesting book about political history - sadly they had already lent it.'

It seemed like it didn't interested my father a thing about where I had been, or anything about the political history book - which I thought it actually would please him since he wanted me to be interested in politic so badly.

He walked incredibly fast towards Nigel his door, entering his room like he wanted to catch him from breaking the rules. I slowly turned my body into my father’s direction.

'I was with Nigel, because the list in the library described me he was the one who had the book at the last time. Apparently, Nigel already lent it to Roy Anderson, so I guess I'll have to ask him about the book then.'

I gazed at the clock which hang at the wall in the corridor I was standing in.

'Oh,' I mumbled surprised while gazing at it. 'Dad, Nigel, I'm going to dress myself. Breakfast isn't going to wait today. It's a special day, after all...'

A little smirk appeared on my face.

'Isn't it, father?'

Nigel:

Nigel looked up when he heard Alex' father's voice filling the hall and he quickly zipped his pants back up. Right in time, too, because the headmaster stormed into his room at this point.

"Ah, sir.. I was just about to head to your office and tell you Alex is back."

Of course this was another terrible lie, but luckily Alex was the only one who noticed this. The headmaster may not believe it either, but he didn't have any evidence to support against it.

He turned, cheeks still flushed in frustration.

"It is yes," Alex' father said through clenched teeth. "So hurry up the both of you. And mister Forbes. After six I want to see you in my office."

He waited then, until Alex would leave as well, like he didn't want to risk leaving the two of them alone together. Only when Alex took his leave he did too. Nigel shared a quick glance with Alex, displaying a vague sense of amusement, though it might have been no more than Alex' imagination. After that he closed the door.

It was not surprising Nigel was present at breakfast before Alex showed up, but he sat at a table in view so it would be easy for Alex to find him. Not that it was really necessary.. They could sense each other’s presence either way.

Alex:

I pressed my lips as I heard Nigel his terrible lie. It was amusing, in my opinion, so I had to press my lips as tight as possible so I wouldn't smirk. I swallowed, gazing from my father back to Nigel.
