A few weeks later:

Darius: watching the news) woah that was a bad crash

Misty:bae why you still up it's 11:30(coming into the living room) sheesh

News: officers have identified the victim of the crash as 27 year old  Keith Jackson Jr. Fortunately his 5 year old daughter only received minor injuries

Misty: Omg, omg!

Darius: what's wrong?

Misty; that's char's baby daddy. They just said Chloe was with him, we gotta get to the hospital now

Misty pov: it was late so I'm sure char was probably sleep but I gotta tell her the news. Especially since Chloe was with him, I hope Kj mom tried to call her. I picked up my phone and called her. I tried to call a few times but she didn't pick up so I called Oliver.

Oliver:(yawns and answers his phone) hello?

Misty: Oliver where's char?

Oliver; she just took a sleeping pill and went to bed. She not feeling good , what's wrong?

Misty: Chloe and her dad got into a crash, he didn't make it

Oliver; what !? Are you serious?

Misty; yes ollie, wake her up and get here now

Oliver: okay okay we on our way(shaking char)

Charmaine: groans) bae I just got to sleep

Oliver: we got an emergency we gotta go

Charmaine: what's wrong?

Oliver; just get dressed baby

Charmaine pov: I didn't know what was going on but I slipped on some pants and grabbed my purse. Ollie got the twins together and strapped them into their car seats. I had a bunch of miss calls from Misty so I called her back.

Misty: (answers) char ! Y'all on the way?

Charmaine: I just woke up, what's going on?

Misty; Kj and Chloe were in a crash

Charmaine:(eyes widen) what !? Is my baby okay? He didn't even call me . Oooh imma kick his ass(getting into the car)

Misty: char just get here fast

Charmaine: we are getting in the car now give us about 10 minutes

10 minutes later:

Oliver: gone inside, I'll be in as soon as Darius come out

Charmaine: okay

(Charmaine goes inside and to the front desk. They tell her to wait in the waiting room)

Darius: y'all made it

Charmaine: where's Misty?

Darius: they let her go in to the room with Chloe til you got here. They in room 104

Charmaine: okay ( runs down the hall to the room and goes inside) Chloe baby are you okay ?

Chloe: mommy !!(reaching for her )

Charmaine: pulls her into a hug) it's okay baby, mommy is here. I'm right here.

Doctor: Hello, Mrs. Shaw I'm Dr. Green

Charmaine: hi, is my baby okay? What happened?

Doctor: she's going to be fine, just a few cuts and bruises and she sprained her wrist pretty bad. But she's okay. We are gonna send her for imaging just to make sure everything internal is okay. The officers said that witnesses told them a car lost control and slammed into the driver's side and sent them rolling.

Charmaine: where's Keith is he okay?

Misty; let me talk to you in the hallway Char

Nurse: I'll keep an eye on her Mrs. Shaw

(Charmaine and Misty go into the hallway)

Charmaine; what room is he in? I wanna make sure he good

Misty; shakes her head) he's not in a room on this floor

Charmaine: okay so what floor? Come on Misty you not making sense right now

Misty; he's in the morgue Char. Kj died at the scene according to the news. He didn't make it

Charmaine:(laughs a little) Misty I know you didn't like him but this ain't funny ?where is he?(starts tearing up) I just talked to him about an hour ago, he said he was picking up Chloe and they were heading home. What room is he in Misty?

Misty:(pulls her into a hug) let it out bestie

Charmaine:( starts crying) Misty don't tell me that please, I gotta see him.

Misty pov: Charmaine broke down crying and her feelings were very valid. They shared some good memories and had a beautiful baby together. They were madly in love at one point and despite the shit Kj put her through, she always had love for him.

Charmaine pov: I was at a lost for words. I couldn't stop crying honestly. Kj wasn't a bad guy for the most part. No matter what he always looked out for me even if we weren't on good terms. I don't even know how imma break this news to our baby girl. That's gone hurt her so bad. I calmed my self down and wiped my tears before going back in the room. This hurt me so bad.
