Charmaine pov: when I got home, I slipped my clothes off and got back in bed. I was so tired. Ollie came out the bathroom and laid with me wrapping his arm around my waist.
Oliver: you alright? How it go?
Charmaine: I'm good, the meeting was decent. They said she was a really good student, amazing behavior and grades. That they would call one of us everyday to let us know she came to class. They're also letting her make up her work from last week.
Oliver: that's good, Josiah is getting another tooth. I just got him back to sleep
Charmaine: aww my poor baby
Oliver: sighs) don't think I've forgotten about you either
Charmaine: what you mean?
Oliver: we never got to celebrate our 11th anniversary
Charmaine: that's right, sadly
Oliver: me and you are going on a vacation. We need to get away from everything and just have some time to relax
Charmaine: ooh (turns around to face him)Where we going?
Oliver: how does Hawaii sound?
Charmaine: smiles) sounds perfect
Oliver: good(kisses on her) i love you so much baby
Charmaine: I love you more
Oliver; I never thought we would make it this far to be honest
Charmaine: why not ?
Oliver: I've always felt I wasn't good enough for you
Charmaine: baby you're perfect, you've been so amazing to me since the day we met. I didn't think I was good enough for you and you finally got them thoughts out my head
Oliver: cause you know you was. I only wanted you. Wasn't nobody gone change how I felt about you
Charmaine; promise me you won't let nobody else come between us
Oliver: I promise (kisses her) trust me, you don't have to worry about nobody else. You not gone get your lick back are you ?
Charmaine: laughs) unless it's Ryan Henry from Black Ink, then no. All I want is my ollie bear
Oliver: can ollie bear get some loving ?
Charmaine: mhm (kissing him multiple time)
Charmaine pov: Oliver ain't never going no where. We stuck for life. That's my man no matter what. We been through some shit but at the end of the day I'm sticking beside him like he sticking beside me. We were made for each other and I'm madly in love with him. That's my heart right there. He held me so close and tight and I felt so safe and comfortable in his arms. I listened to his heart beat until I fell asleep.
2 hours later:
Charmaine:(on the phone with Oliver's mom) he's sleeping right now, but Leslie that hurt him so bad finding out Elijah wasn't his.
Leslie: I know it did. He almost lost his family and then when he finally came to terms with it, this happened. She's so wrong for that
Charmaine: sighs) I was so mad, I ticked and beat her up
Leslie: laughs a little) Charmaine that wasn't right
Charmaine: I know ma but I was pissed. But how are you feeling? You didn't look to well at church yesterday
Leslie: i got an headache that's been there for a minute. I think imma go lay down and try to sleep it off.
Charmaine; is it your blood pressure?
Leslie: no that's good. I checked this morning
Charmaine: aw well I'm sorry, I hope you feel better though.
Leslie: thank you honey, I'll talk to you later. I love you guys
Charmaine: we love you too. Take care
(They hang up)
Later that day:
Charmaine: Andrea you love my daughter ?
Andrea: yes ma'am, she's my heart
Charmaine: then you need to keep her on track. I don't want y'all missing school to see each other. You know you're always welcome here. You can come over and spend time with her . We accept y'all, but that skipping school shit is over with do you understand ?
Andrea: nods) yes ma'am
Charmaine: Chloe you understand ?
Chloe: yes mama
Charmaine: now gone upstairs and get started on that make up work, dinner will be ready in a little while
Chloe: okay
(They go upstairs. Oliver comes in the kitchen with the baby.)
Charmaine: hi my jojo bear (smiles) his fever gone?
Oliver; mhm(handing him to her)
Charmaine: patting his back) mommy's baby getting big boy teeth
(Oliver's phone rings)
Oliver: answers) hey dad, what's up?
Gregory:sniffs) I'm sorry to have to tell you this son
Oliver: frowns) what's wrong ?
Gregory: your mother just passed away
Oliver: what !?
Charmaine: looks over at him) everything okay?
Gregory: voice cracking) she been complaining about a headache. She said she was gonna go take a nap a hour later I went to check on her and she wasn't breathing (crying) the corners are on their way
Oliver: dad come on this can't be true (tearing up) tell me this ain't true
Gregory: sniffs again) I'm so sorry son.
Oliver: don't let them move her. I'm on my way
Gregory: okay
(Oliver hangs up and starts crying)
Charmaine: baby what's wrong ?(sitting Josiah in his high chair)
Oliver: she's gone, my mama gone (breaks down) my mama dead
Charmaine: what!? I just talked to her about 2 hours ago
Oliver: dad says the corner is on the way. I gotta go
Charmaine:( pulls him into a tight hug) I am so sorry baby I really am.
Chloe:(comes into the kitchen ) mam- what's wrong ?
Charmaine: sighs) Gigi passed away
Chloe: Omg, are you serious? When ? How?
Oliver: I gotta get over there , I gotta go before they take my mama ( trying to get out of Charmaine's arms )
Charmaine:Oliver you can't drive like this.
Chloe:tearing up) mama tell me this not true
Charmaine: pulling her into the hug) it is honey
Chloe pov: Gigi leslie has always been a big part of my life. She's accepted me from the very beginning and always treated me like her blood grand daughter. She was my grandma and I don't care what nobody says.
Charmaine: can you and Drea keep an eye on the kids while I take him Over there?
Chloe:(wiping her tears) yeah of course
Charmaine: thank you baby
Charmaine pov: I told charm to bring my purse down stairs while I slid on my shoes. Oliver was so numb I could tell. He put on his shoes, we got in the car and then I drove to his parents house. When we got there we saw the ambulance out front and the corners truck. His dad was standing on the porch talking to the corner.
Oliver: walking up to the porch) where is she? Did they move her ?
Gregory: she's still in the room. I told them not to touch her until y'all got here.
Oliver: okay (going in the house )
