Oliver pov: today was my baby girl birthday and I was meeting them at the restaurant for dinner. This would be the first time in some months that I see Charmaine. Today is about our daughter though and I don't want to mess that up.
Charmaine: Chloe come look at this before we go (standing on the porch)
Chloe: look at what?( coming out the house) Omg! Omg! Omg!(squeals) you got me a car ! Thank you mama so much
Charmaine: you're welcome baby(hands her the keys) gone and pull it into the garage
Chloe pov: my mama got me a Jeep Grand Cherokee, the latest model and I was so happy cause that's been my dream car. Once I closed the garage we got into her car and she let me drive to the restaurant. I have my permit but I'm going to take my road test soon. When we got there I saw my dad, ollie standing there. This was just a little family dinner with us and my god parents misty and Darius. I parked the car and then we all got out and walked over to the door.
Oliver: happy birthday baby girl !(hands her some gift bags)
Chloe:(smiles and hugs him) thank you dad
Twins: hi dad
Oliver: hey my babies( hugs them)
Charmaine pov: it felt weird being around Oliver. We went into the restaurant and got seated and then we sat in silence while the kids talked amongst themselves. I had nothing to say to him really.
Oliver:(clears his throat) um how you been char ?
Charmaine: I'm alright (sighs) you?
Oliver: could be better
Charmaine: nods) yeah probably so
Misty: hey hey(walking to the table)
Charmaine: hey , where's Dee ?
Misty:he's parking (hands Chloe a card) happy birthday baby
Chloe:(smiles) thank you god mommy
Oliver pov: once Darius came inside we ordered our food and stuff. Our main concern was making sure Chloe had an amazing birthday, which she did. When it was time to go I hugged my kids and told them I love them. I was sad I wasn't going home with them. Misty and Darius were walking to their car and it was just me and Charmaine by the door waiting for the cars to pass so we could cross the parking lot.
Oliver: you looked extremely beautiful tonight
Charmaine: thank you, you look nice too
Oliver: thanks
Charmaine: well good night (starts walking)
Oliver:(grabs her hand) I love you char
Charmaine: sighs) I love you too ollie
Oliver pov: I watched char walk to her car and get in and they drove away. At least she said she loved me, that's all that mattered to me.
Charmaine pov: we did dinner a little early so Chloe and the twins could get back in time to leave for Florida. She is just like me terrified of flying so Marcus decided that he would drive his truck instead of them flying. The twins were going to so I would have the house to myself.
Chloe; I wish you could come with me mama
Charmaine: I know me too, but I want you to enjoy yourself
Chloe:(smiles) I will
Chloe pov; once my uncle came we loaded up the truck and we said bye to mama and we were on our way. I couldn't wait to get to Florida, it's gonna be so fun.
