Charmaine pov: I couldn't believe my baby was in the hospital. The doctors were still trying to calm Chloe's stomach and examine her more. We had to wait in the waiting room still. Right now it was just me and Kj cause his mom and Oliver went to get us some food.
Kj:(sighs) Char you know my mama would never try to hurt Chloe, I promise you she wouldn't. I wouldn't either. please don't take my baby from me( looking at her) I can't live without our baby girl
Charmaine:(sighs) I'm not gone take her from you Kj. She's going to be fine. I know y'all wouldn't hurt her. I just want this day to be over.
Kj: thank you I mean it
Charmaine: sighs) you ain't gotta thank me
Kj: I know you probably don't wanna hear this but happy birthday
Charmaine: worst day of my life, but thank you
Doctor: comes in the waiting room) hello you guys
Charmaine:(stands up) hi doc, how is she ?
Doctor: she's fine, she will make a full recovery and there's no extreme damage
Kj: can we see her now please?
Doctor: yes, follow me
(The doctor takes them to the room.)
Charmaine: hi baby girl( walking over to the bed) you feeling ok?
Chloe:( nods) hi mommy
Kj: walking to the other side of the bed) daddy is gonna get you the biggest scoop of ice cream when you get out of here
Chloe:(smiles) Superman?
Kj:(smiles) of course
(Oliver knocks on the door)
Charmaine: come in
Oliver: walks in) she doing okay?
Kj: she good, she's expected to be completely better in a few days
Oliver: that's good, hey pumpkin
Chloe: Ollie! (smiles)
Oliver: a little birdie told me that you love giant teddy bears (smiles and lays it in her arms)
Chloe: tank you !(holding onto the bear)
Oliver: you're welcome baby girl, bae I'll be out in the waiting room
Charmaine: okay
( Oliver walks out)
Kj: I'm glad you found a man who loves you and Chloe. You seem so happy
Charmaine: nods) I am. He's amazing.
2 days later:
Charmaine: I'm sorry we couldn't go on our vacation (carrying Chloe in the house)
Oliver: your daughter was having an emergency she always comes first. Don't apologize for that.
Charmaine: yeah, that was so scary, I would've lost my mind with out her. I wish we could've still went though
Oliver: we can, when she feels better. I already reschedule our flight for next weekend
Charmaine: smiles) awww baby, I can't wait
Oliver:(smiles) and we can take her with us
Charmaine:you are so perfect Ollie. You always looking out for me and Chloe
Oliver: I love y'all so much. I've been in her life 4 years now. She's my baby girl as well
Charmaine:( smiles) I love you so much
Oliver: I love you too, go get her cleaned up , I'm gonna cook something
Charmaine: ok
Charmaine pov: I went upstairs and ran Chloe a nice hot bath and let her play with her tub toys while I got her pajamas out. Once I was done I washed her up and got her out. I made sure to rub her lotion on and put her pajamas on. I'm so glad my baby was okay. She was still a little sleepy because they gave her some medicine before we left. I sat in the rocking chair and laid her on my chest , rocking her to sleep.
(Kj FaceTimes )
Charmaine:( answers) hey
Kj: hey, how she doing?
Charmaine:puts Chloe in the camera) she's doing okay. They gave her a sedative before we left so she's on her way back to sleep.
Kj:(sighs) I'm so sorry Char, I knew I shouldn't picked up that shift.
Charmaine: Kj don't blame yourself, it's not your fault. I'm not mad at you. It's okay, yeah I hate that it happened and I agree with the cps lady, your mama should've been watching her closely, but your mama older and she not as quick as she used to be
Kj: my mama would never hurt Chloe ever. I promise you she wouldn't
Charmaine: Keith, I know. I know you and your mama love Chloe so much. It's no bad blood between us. That's still her grandma and she can still go over there and stuff
Kj: nods) this shit so crazy. When my mama called she was screaming and crying so bad
Charmaine: I can imagine, look Kj calm down and try to get some rest. When she's up and feel better I'll let her call you
Kj: okay, talk to you later
Charmaine: goodnight
(They hang up. Charmaine puts Chloe on her bed and then goes in her room so she can take a shower and change clothes.)
Oliver: coming out the bathroom with the towel wrapped around him) she doing okay?
Charmaine: yeah just put her to sleep.(taking off her clothes)
Oliver:(putting on his clothes) okay good. Dinner is almost done so hurry up
Charmaine: don't rush me little boy (laughs)
Oliver:(smirks) ain't shit little over here
Charmaine:you right you right (goes in the bathroom)
15 minutes later:
Charmaine:( walking in the kitchen) mmm smells good
Oliver:fixing their plates) thank you baby, I made spaghetti and fried chicken, plus garlic toast
Charmaine: oh I'm finna fuck it up( licking her lips)
Oliver:( laughs) you're so greedy
Charmaine:( laughs) shut up
Oliver pov: I wanted to wait til we went to Mexico to give bae her birthday gifts, but since we delaying the trip I wanna give her the main gift. We sat and ate our dinner and talked about random shit, I swear she make me so happy.
Oliver: so bae, you know I love you so much right?
Charmaine;( smiles) yesss, I love you too
Oliver:( smiles) and I don't see my life without you and Chloe in it. I wanted to do this in Mexico but I can't wait any longer( stands up and walks over to her)
Charmaine:( raises an eyebrow) do what ?
Oliver:( gets down on one knee and pulls out the ring) I wanna be your protector and provider for the rest of my life. I love everything about you and I'm ready to move forward with our relationship, so what I'm asking is, will you marry me?
Charmaine:( shocked) o-Ollie you for real ?(tearing up) don't play
Oliver:( laughs) bae I'm for real. I wanna make you my wife
Charmaine:( smiles) yes! Yes yes yes!
Oliver:( slides the ring on her finger) I love you
Charmaine:( kisses him) I love you more
Charmaine pov: I can't believe Oliver just proposed! I'm so excited and I can't wait to become his wife. I love that man so much.
