Chloe: mommy where's daddy? He hasn't came to see me yet (twirling her hospital band)
Charmaine: baby put that back on ( sliding it on her wrist) don't take it off again
Oliver: char you gotta tell her
Charmaine:(sighs and sits next to her) your daddy had to go help the angels and Omari. They needed a very strong guy to help them out
Chloe: daddy passed away?
Charmaine:(tearing up and nods her head) yes he did
Oliver pov: Chloe began crying and that caused char to start crying and that was breaking my heart. I walked over to them and hugged them tightly. This is so tough on the both of them.
A few hours later:
Oliver: coming in the room) I brought y'all some food
Charmaine: thank you baby I appreciate it
Oliver: you're welcome, her test results came back yet ?
Charmaine: Doc says should be back soon, they were kinda backed up
Oliver: okay, I'm sure everything is fine
Charmaine: I hope so
Oliver: how you feeling lady bug?
Chloe: I wanna go home, I don't want to sleep here
Oliver: I know baby, but we'll be able to leave as soon as your results come back, okay?
Chloe: nods) okay
Oliver: i got you chicken nuggies , you hungry?
Chloe: yesss!
Charmaine pov: I watched oliver hand Chloe her food and she began to eat. I physically could not bring myself to eat. I had a knot in my stomach and I kept seeing Kj's body in my head. It still doesn't feel real. I can't believe he's actually gone.
Oliver: you gotta eat mamas(grabbing Charmaine hand)
Charmaine: I'll try later, right now I just need to sleep
Oliver pov: Charmaine looked so hurt. Her and Kj had a good bond most of the time and I know she still had a soft spot for him. She went and laid on the little bed that the nurse brought in last night and soon drifted off to sleep. I know she was exhausted from everything that happened plus she took those sleeping pills last night so that's probably still in her system. She slept for a while until the doctor came in with the results.
Doctor: well Mr & Mrs. Shaw, she's going to be fine. Everything looks good, all the images came back normal so you'll be free to go soon as the nurse comes back with the discharge papers
Oliver: thank you doctor ...
