His eyes widened a little with my boldness which made me chuckle. Ang gwapo pa rin kahit mukhang gulat!

"What does your gift look like?" I asked again dahil gusto kong mangulit.

But he only shrugged. I pouted a little.

"Ano nga? So I won't open it."

Napataas kilay ito, "Bakit?"

I also shrugged, annoying him which made him raise a brow. Hindi ko maiwasan. I feel so happy! Hindi ko rin maalis ang tingin sa kanya. He's so handsome, god. So pleasing to the eyes.

"Tingin mo ba, hindi mo magugustuhan?" He asked, I can even see that he's bothered about it but he's not making it obvious.

"Do I tell you?"

"You should."

I bit my lips, "I don't want to open your gift... yet." Sabi ko. Napataas kilay siya. "Bukas na. We'll see each other bukas, diba?"

He stared at me, even bit on his lips. Napatitig rin ako sa kanya, hindi talaga magawang iiwas ang tingin kahit dapat ay kumakain ako dito! Ni hindi ko na nga nagalaw iyong pagkain ko.

"Yeah,"

"And you still have to explain to me why you got annoyed."

"Right,"

I smiled at him. He's just agreeing, which is making me happy!

Magsasalita pa sana ako when the MC called for my attention. I sighed at nagpaalam na kay Cairo. I went back in front, to my seat. The program continued.

Puro messages nalang ang mga iyon galing sa magulang ko. To the sponsors and to our business partners.

The last part would be a message from me, ofcourse.

I talked just like a professional. Hindi pwedeng kabado ako, magagalit sina Mommy. I was confident and I know so well what I'm gonna say. I didn't allow the thought that people in front of me are all successful and that I'm no one compared to them.

But who cares, am I competing? No.

"... I'm the most thankful to the people I personally invited here. Thank you for making time and spending this special day with me." I ended.

Ibinalik ko ang mic sa MC bago naupo muli. Akala ko, tapos na! But the MC again told the people here to go ask me to dance if they want to! Especially those who weren't included in the eighteen roses!

And it was annoying! Because I haven't even finished my food yet. Tapos yung mga nakikisayaw pa, mga nakasayaw ko na kanina!

And since no more spotlight now, parang mas lumakas ang loob ng mga lalaking to. They're annoying! They're also boastful!

"My parents said if your parents would agree to let us invest in your company, then they'd also push for an arranged marriage for the both of us." Sabi naman nitong lalaking kasayaw ko ngayon.

"What?!"

He licked his lips, "I wasn't interested about it but damn, you're gorgeous, Maeve. So-"

"So back off. Not interested." Agad kong sabi.

He chuckled while I looked at him sharply, "That's not your decision to make. Not even mine. But there's a big possibility for it to happen so... just go out with me."

I scoffed, "And you're the fourth person to say that, Mister. Do you really think I'm easily fooled?" Malamig kong sabi.

Napataas kilay siya pero nanatili ang ngisi sa labi. God, I don't even know why I agreed dancing with these kids! I mean, boys!
