It's been two days since I was discharged from the hospital after the doctors run all the tests and confirmed I was good to leave the hospital. It's my first day at work today, Edward had a hard time sending me away but I assured him that I will be careful and cautious. However, I know he has put his men because there is no way there are straight-faced buffed guys working at a designer studio

"Hey, let's go for lunch" Shaun chirped his workstation is on the left of mine. He is the sweetest person I have ever met, he instantly made me feel welcomed and I kid you not even though we meet a few hours ago it already feels like I have known him for years by the number of stories he has narrated to me. He even shared how he came out to his parent at the age of 17 and how supportive they were. He is currently living with his boyfriend now fiancé and has already invited me over a dinner with them

"Ummm... actually I am just waiting for my lunch to be delivered" Alex is sending me some healthy lunch for me as I am still on my meds and need my "nutrition" as per everyone in the house...huff

"Fancy huh" Shaun replied, "So let's wait for it to get here and we can sit together" he suggested. I nodded in agreement and Shaun pushed his chair to my desk and sat on it with one leg crossed on another pulling up his phone, I got my phone to check with Alex when my phone dinned

Alex: Get your ass down here and get your lunch😉

Me: Rude!!

Alex: Did you forget I just got you lunch, which I stirred with my skillful hand

Me: That's because you love me.

Me: In the elevator now

Alex: Now can't deny that can we

Alex: Turn to your left once you are in the basement

The elevator dinged at the same time and I took a left to find Alex, I found him sitting in his car. He got out of the car and gave me a bone-crushing hug "How is your first day at work going?" he questioned

"Good, exciting I guess but exhausting I have so much to learn" I whined, he rubbed my back still hugging me "It will be alright" he assured me. We pulled apart as I nodded and he gave me an encouraging smile. He leaned in his car and brought out the lunch

"There, nice and healthy lunch for an exhausted Anna" he sang

"Thank you" I sang back following his lead and we both laughed

"Okay, now I'll leave you to have your lunch, and don't worry in the celebration of your first day to work I have packed something exciting for you" he winked.

"You're the best" I am sure my eyes shone in excitement. I was so excited, it has been too long for me eating my healthy greens and not so tasty bland food

"Now keep that a secrete, will you? I don't want Ed to bull over me" I was saying yes before he could finish his words. Soon he kissed my forehead and drove back

I retreated back to the cafeteria where Shaun waited for me with his lunch. He told me some more stories over lunch and I told him about Anna and Lee I restricted myself from telling him about Edward because I mean he is The Edward Black everyone knows him, and Shaun told me he has a crush on my boyfriend. That was super awkward to hear and he was taken back when I burst into laughter when he revealed that to me, I had to make something up to not make him feel bad

I was engrossed in work when I received yet another message from Edward, he has been checking up with me every few minutes

Edward: What time will you be done?

Me: Missing me much😉

The next second my phone rang, "I swear I will not let you go once I get you back in the evening" he grumbled as soon as I received the call making me laugh

"Well, I hope you keep your promise. I miss you too" I grinned

"Give me a call when you are done; I'll be there to you get you" he suggested

"Sure. How was your day?"

"Usual" he answered. Mafia kind of usual or business kind of usual I thought but I dare not ask that now

"Did Alex come by to drop lunch?"

"Yes, he did"

"I hope he got you some healthy food"

"Yes...yes, chi...chicken salad and some yogurt" I lied crossing my fingers I sounded convincible

"Humm...strange Alex told me it was Quinoa salad with some sides" my eyes widen and I immediately disconnected the call. BUSTED
