Epilogue

As soon as Slaiman got out of the car he was slammed with Toff's body, who was a crying mess

"I thought I asked you to sleep?" Slaiman smiled into her hair as he duplicated her iron hold around her

"Thank you" she cried into him clutching onto him

Edward got out from his side and walked towards running Anna with a grin on his face waving the requested bag of chips

"I missed you" Anna said as soon Edward caught her in his arms

"Just been a few hours" he chuckled

"I was talking to my chips not you" Anna chucked kissing him on his lips to stop him from saying anything more earning a squeeze on her cheeks

"Am I the only one being left out?" Max got out of the driver's seat and said loud enough for everyone to hear

"Nah, come her my love" Alex said that with an accent trying to hug Max but he dogged him with an 'eww' making everyone laugh

After having a much-needed rest everyone settled themselves in the living room after dinner each having their drinks for the night when Max walks into the room disconnecting the call, he has been on for more than 20 minutes

Entering the room Max received a small nod from Edward who had one arm relaxed around Anna's waist to secure her on his lap and the other holding his whiskey to which he gave him a nod as if having a silent conversation and did the same with Slaiman. The docks were now cleared and burnt to ashes leaving no evidence whatsoever

"So I have a question" Toff whispered chewing her bottom lip anxiously with her eyes on the fidgeting fingers on her lap but was loud enough to catch everyone's attention. Slaiman stilled beneath her, he tightened his grip on her sitting figure on his lap

Taking the silence as an affirmation to continue Toff continued "How long have you known about it?" she looked at Lee straight in the eye

Lee squirmed in her seat looking around the room not confident enough to look at her "Lee" Anna called for her

"I was mad that you were going through such a tough and feared that the culprit would come back and harm you, always living in constant agony. So I decided to put my skills to the test and look for clues myself it took me 8 months since the incident happened to find a small clue. That b*****d had deleted every evidence possible" Lee peeked at Slaiman as he did not point out her cursing right now just to see him gritting his teeth, 100% sure he was killing Tanka in his imagination all over again

"I found out he was apparently the nephew of Jowar, it was difficult to turn them to the cops due to lack of evidence, they covered their tracks well. While looking for options I came across a Mafia. However, I did not know that the mafia I worked with belonged to these guys until they mentioned their hacker to be Spider on the day of the attack at the city house. My initial plan was to call in for favors to deal with Tanka in exchange for information to them but that was not required because your boyfriend here decided to do it anyways" Lee smirked at the end relaxing on the sofa

Toff visibly shuddered at her confession. Years... it has been years since the incident but it still brings a chill to her spine whenever she thinks of the time she spent in that dark room prying that someone would save her. Tears slip down her cheeks as she thought about it, she pressed herself more into Slaiman looking for assurance that she is safe and grounded in the reality

Slaiman did exactly that, he brushed her tears, gently peppering her with kisses, and whispered sweet noting into her ears holding her flush to his chest and giving her much-needed assurance and the room fell in silence

"Well, that's something I was not made aware of?" Edward said suddenly after a while

Anna followed his line of sight questionably only to see Myra kissing the hell out of Lee. Lee tried to get out of her hold but she had an iron hold on her, winking at Edward Myra continued to kiss her not giving any heed to his question

"Did you know they were together from the night we had dinner at Alex's restaurant? Apparently, your sister was the one to kiss her at the bar and that kicked all the questions Lee had about her sexuality out of the window. And the irony is Lee saw Myra when we went to the beach on our first day of the trip and was smitten by her. I always had my doughts about her, but Lee never confirmed them. But now that I look at her so happy basked in the newfound feeling called love, it feels surreal. As if I am in a dream" Anna said staring at her best friends, it was insane to think how their one decision to take a trip changed their life

However, she did not get any more time to be lost in her thought as Edward turned her around in his lap bringing his lips just a breath apart from hers and looking into her eyes straight "Then let me show you how f***ing beautiful and real this dream is Mrs. Black" saying that he crashed his lip on hers kissing the hell out of her, she did not even get a chance to fight to dominate this kiss her mind was clouding, her body shivering until she felt a cold something slip onto her ring finger and that's when it downed on her what he had just said her eyes widen and he smiled into the kiss. She tried to pull out from the kiss but Edward had something else in his mind.

He stood up still not breaking the kiss with Anna now clutching to him like a Kola

The room filled with 'Eww' 'Get a room guys' and 'Aww' making Anna go red and again made a pathetic attempt to break the kiss and hide from the embarrassment.

Contradictory to her actions Edward finally broke free from the kiss, just to look at his family and then into the love of his life and crash his lips again not before stating it loud and clear "Mine".
