We were sitting in the room with Lee after Edward and the boys left for the mission

After I and Toff adamantly pursued Edward and Slaiman, they agreed for us to sit with Lee while she guided them on the docks

I and Toff were sitting on the couch exactly in front of Lee and Myra who had a view of the screen. I was watching both their expression and I am sure Toff was doing the same. Alex was somewhere in the room on his phone

We both were so anxious that I was digging the couch with my fingers turning them red whereas Toff fisted her fingers until her nails dug into her palms. As soon as Alex noticed that he left his phone and occupied the space between me and Toff and pulled Toff's palm into his own doing the same to mine and squeezing them in assurance

"They are best at what they do, you know" he gave us a reassuring smile. I know they are, we both know they are the best. But sometimes your brain disagrees to agree on what you know is right

However, Lee caught our attention when she cursed saying something about the changes, and the next thing I know Myra is pulling Lee for a kiss

I gasped and Toff cursed while Alex hooted as they kissed, or must I say Myra kissed Lee and she was still. I was about to call out for Myra to leave her but was again surprised when Lee kissed her back.

When they let each other go I could see Lee's face was red as a tomato, Myra winked at us but Lee did not even look at us she straight away went to working her fingers on the keyboard and her eyes on the screen

"Did you know about this?" Toff questioned me over hooting Alex and I mouther ana big NO

After a couple of minutes, Myra cheered letting us know Jowar was down however the next moment fear was evident on their face, I tried to get out of the seat but Alex tightened his hold on my hand preventing me from going and looking at the screen

"Slaiman" Myra whisper yelled at the screen

"You got to go the front, Ed" Lee said with desperation before I could register what was happening Toff had shoot to look at the screen and her eyes widened with fear, she had to hold the chair Myra was sitting on to stop from falling. Alex rushed to her because it seemed like neither Myra nor Lee registered Toff was looking at the screen at the moment

"What...what is happening?" I asked no one in particular and walked behind the chair to look at the screens

"Cut the visuals" I heard Edward say, Lee was using the earpiece so we could not hear the other side of the conversation when we sat far on the couch but with such proximity, I could hear the other side of the conversation too

"No" Toff screamed and help Lee's shoulder

On the screen, there was a man whose face I could not see. He was holding a gun to Slaiman's head, and I know Slaiman is smirking as his half side was visible to us. Alex was on the right side of him with his gun held high at the person who had Slaiman captive

"Do something...why is nobody doing anything? EJ?" Toff said in a panic, Alex squeezed her in a comforting hug

It seemed like Edward and Slaiman exchanged a few words, and for some reason, Alex retrieved his gun and started to walk back smirking

This action of Alex caught the attention of the person who was holding Slaiman captive and that gave Slaiman a good window to swiftly move and in the blink of an eye the man was on his knees, now facing the camera and Slaiman has his neck in a death grip with a gun to his head

"No" Toff literally screamed at the top of her lungs and in spite of Alex holding her firmly her knees bucked and she almost fell but Myra was quick enough to give Toff her seat

Tears streamed down her face, Lee took hold of her right hand and made her look at her and gave her a small nod but Toff moved her head negatively, she could barely voice out 'No' crying again and looking back at the screen

As if Slaiman knew Toff was looking at the screen, he smiled looking at the camera and then looked down at the man in his death grip and again at the camera before mouthing 'For you' and swiftly turning around to cover the kneeling man from the camera

I do not know what happened next because my eyes instantly went to Edward, even though it was a blurry image but I would rather look at my man than whatever Slaiman was doing right now and Edward was staring into the camera back as if comforting me

"That was him" I heard Toff's voice and my brows frown in confusion. Who is who again?

"Tanka...my father's business partner. He was the one who kidnapped me and tortured me because he wanted my father's business. He almost forced himself on me by the end of the week frustrated that my father had involved the police" Toff was hysterical, she never told us what had happened to her during the week she was abducted, we were only familiar with her post trauma.

I and Lee pleaded with her to tell us what was bothering her but she never uttered a word not even to her parents. However, on our constant pleading, she did agree to consult a therapist but never gave a name or a face of the person.

The man Slaiman just killed I assume was Tanka, one from Toff's nightmares
