EJ dragged me to the club as soon as I finished my meetings, apparently, he had to introduce me to his girl. I was flabbergasted when he said that, he has never done that before. The most shocking was when he laughed his ass off instead of punching me when I called him whipped.

I took my drink and occupied the table while EJ went in search of his girl, Max accompanied me a few minutes later, he told me that EJ meet this girl not that long ago and is already whipped, we laughed when I told him I used the same word to describe his behavior.

Sipping the drink while waiting for EJ my eyes wander over the dance floor, and there I saw her. The same girl from the airport, she was with her friends dancing like there is no tomorrow. Her eyes meet mine and she froze, she turned pale worrying I stood up and walked towards her and caught her before she collapsed on the floor.

Max sent us to his office making a call to EJ, her friends followed us. I put her down on the couch making sure she was comfortable, I insisted on calling a doctor but according to her friends, she was good and should be up in a while. As I was arguing with them to get a doctor EJ entered the room, he took one of the two girls in his arms and hugged while he eyed me "What are you guys arguing about?" he questioned, he is well aware of my temperament

"He wants to call a doctor, but Toffee is fine. She just needs some rest and she should be good" the girl answered before I could

"And you know it because?" I questioned her annoyed. They were pissing me off, why would they not want a doctor to check up on her

"SHE IS MY FRIEND" she almost screamed

"Hey hey, you both calm down, let's focus on Toff first" EJ interrupted

"Toff does not like being examined or rather I should say she hates doctors. And we know she is fine because this has happened earlier and she should get up in a while, but I don't understand what was the trigger this time" the other girl explained frowning as she said the last part

"Trigger?" I and EJ spat at the same time, I looked over EJ and then again at the girl

"LEE" the girl in EJ's arm hissed

"Sorry" the other girl mothed back.

EJ introduced me to his girl, so her name is Rihanna, and the other girl is Bailee. On insisting they told us that Toff had some incident in the past that made her hate doctors she also has panic attacks and faints due to the same. They did not want to share more in respect of Toff's privacy and we dropped the matter. But I wanted to know what exactly was it that made her so vulnerable, her pale face bothered me.

The walked towards her when I saw some movements, she struggled to open her eyes as I blocked the light for her eyes widened as she saw me her face looked troublesome and tears roll down her cheeks. I felt as if a sharp dagger was pierced through my heart but what hurt the most was when she flinched as I moved my had to wipe the tear, with a heavy heart I pulled back and her friend helped her wipe the tears and made her drink some water.

Toff looked troublesome when Lee and Anna insisted to go back with her. She was hesitant to take my offer to accompany her but agreed after thinking for a while.

My only mission now is to know about the incident that made her so vulnerable and take all the worries away from her. I have never felt so protective about anyone else other than my family, but I somehow know she is worth it.
