Joshua's POV:

My brain is on the verge of an explosion. Some stupid hammer is playing the sickest beats painfully in my head. I opened my eyes to a lot of difficulties. The brightness of the room is aggressively attacking my eyelids incapable of staying open waking up in the morning is...

I jump out of bed and head for the bathroom. Fortunately, my eyes got used to the light. I empty my guts into the
toilet bowl. Unpleasant feeling. My stomach is empty and the taste of alcohol sticks in my throat. I hate hangovers.

Once I feel a little better I take a quick look around. It's not home. What? I am not home. I am starting to have brief flashbacks from last night. Drinks.Car.Walking up the stairs. Bed. Matthew...

"Feeling better ?" He asked.

I turn around immediately. Matthew is laying on the doorframe shirtless. Looking at him gives me a little twinge of heart. I smile back at him to reassure him

"Sorry..."

"I never thought I would have ever seen you in this state."

"Yes, I am the most rational friend."

"Whatever. Come eat."

I follow him to the kitchen downstairs while looking around. For the first time, I feel like entering his secret garden. Family portraits hanging all over the house is giving a comforting atmosphere. I understand why this boy enjoys staying home as much.

"Don't worry my mom is still at work."

"Too bad.. don't you want to introduce her to your only best friend."

He rolled his eyes.

"Are you ashamed of us ?" I said falsely offended.

"VERY !!!" He laughed before putting the plate on the table.

I sat down and eat the chicken soup he made.

"Not bad," I commented. "But you're not on my Michelin's level."

"Oh really ?"

His eyes shone a gleam of mischief. He was leaning toward me with a defiant look and a smirk. Seconds had passed, and I was submerged by his gorgeous light honey-brown eyes. It was an instanced battle. A duel of looks was suddenly interrupted by the creaking ringing of his telephone.

Later in the evening.

I just woke up from a quick nap. Less pain.Better mood. I have much more energy than earlier. I could start my stand-up show on my worst hangover ever right away. That would be for another day anyway because Matthew told me to get ready around 7:30. I put on the most discrete outfit I could find in his closet. It wasn't hard will not complain. He enters the room with a black cap.

"Something is missing ?"

"What? " He's playing my game.

"What about a black mask while we're at it."

He lends me one right away.

"Perfect." I smile at him.

He takes me to the garage. The gate rises with a creaking noise that makes my teeth chatter. The rays of the moon penetrate the dark room. a gorgeous black shimmer dye. A hiss escapes me. I am amazed. This car is beautiful. I am so dumbfounded by its beauty that I stand motionless in front of the door, my mouth slightly open.

"Your door is opened, your highness." He said before entering the car.

These words pull me out of my hypnosis. I blink frantically before replying to him.

"Oh. Thank you, my dear valet. To the Darkside, we go."
I shout once he starts the engine.

We drive for almost half an hour. Unknown road. I check my phone from time to time just to track our localization.

Finally, we arrived at our destination. I breathe in relief once my feet touch the ground.Ô mother nature. I had barely regained my senses I was startled by a strong deep voice rising behind my back. I turn around abruptly. It's a humongous place with countless amount of cars and people. All of them seem to know each other very well. They are casually chatting while some are getting back in their car. My eyes go around for a while before they stop on one racer. He stands out more since he is all alone, which is understandable because he doesn't seem to be the type to be very friendly. I would ask Matthew who he is. I turn around. Matthew has suddenly vanished.
Dammit.

Thank you for reading !!!

Joshua's hangover>>>
Let's hope he could recover soon from it.
More of their friendship they're genuine even during not so pleasant time.

By the way should we get Joshua's stand-up show?

Also the race.
Here we are at Joshua's first race. Was it a good idea to do so? Because the boy is already lost. Where did Matthew go and without him? Or did he just not hear him since he was too busy looking around?

I am looking forward to reading your comments.

See you next week.
Vicky❤️
