Mystic Grill,
3rd Person:

Chris and Elena were both hanging out with one another, eating some food at the Grill since Elena had some important news about her family

"Well that's one thing I definitely didn't see coming. I can't believe you're adopted" Chris gasped while eating some fries

"It gets weirder. My birth certificate lists Miranda and Grayson Gilbert as my birth parents. None of it makes sense" Elena said shaking her head in confusion

"Maybe they just enlisted themselves on it so no one would know or something. You are still their daughter. Maybe you should ask Jenna for more information" Chris told her to which she groaned at "First of all, the Elena I know would want to know the truth"

"And second of all?"

"You just found out that your boyfriend is a... vampire" He whispered "And that me and Bonnie are witches. So unless your birthparents are secretly werewolves or something, how bad could it be?"

Elena chuckled a little "Speaking of the weird and creepy-" Elena took out a ring out of her pocket and handed it Chris

"Sorry Elena but I'm already married" Chris joked

"Shut up, it has a herb in it for protection. Against vampires. I've got it in my necklace and I gave one to Caroline. These are yours and Bonnies"

Chris smiled "I appreciate the concern, Elena but me and Bonnie don't actually need these"

"I know there a bit big but it's better than being controlled by people like Damon"

"No, I mean that because me and Bonnie are witches, we're already protected. Turns out my Grams already knew about vampires and she told us a little about them. Being a witch gives us a natural protection from being compelled"

"That's reassuring then, at least you get some more perks from being who you are. Anyway, I've got to go to the store. My outfit for the dance is severely lacking accessories"

"Yeah, give this to Jeremy or someone" Chris said handing the ring back to her "I'll pay the bill, see you tomorrow, bye"

"Thanks, bye" Elena said grabbing her bag then leaving

Chris stood up from the table and turned around only to become face to face with Damon "What the hell do you want from me?"

"I think that we need a fresh start" He said

"You tried to kill my sister. Then you half kidnapped Elena and were very rude over the phone"

"Exactly, 'tried', I didn't. But if I wanted to, I would have. Does that not give me positivity point in that Bennett brain of yours?"

"You already know what I can do with my mind. Remember when I set you on fire. Stay away from me and my sister" Chris then marched past him and left to go home before being stopped again

The Next Day:

It was the 50s decade dance, and was supposed to be a fun event. But before Elena went to the dance a vampire tried to kill her, so this dance was now going to be used as a baiting ground to lure him out and kill him

Everyone who came were having fun, Bonnie, Chris and Caroline were dancing with one another crazily while Elena walked in with a Salvatore on each arm. Connected with Stefan and leaning away from Damon, who was currently being watched by Alaric from across the crowd of teens
