Mystic Falls High,
3rd Person:

The students of Mystic Falls school had to gather with eachother in the gym hall to pay their respects for Carol Lockwood who was murdered by Klaus after he slaughtered all of Tyler's hybrids with the sword that is to be used to held find the cure to vampirism

After Liz Forbes had to tell the town that it was an accident as they couldn't know how she was actually killed by a vampire, werewolf hybrid creature with anger and betrayal issues

As the entire school began to light candles for one another Chris saw Elena looking towards the door with wide eyes "Are you okay?" He whispered

"Yeah, I just- I'll be right back" Elena said standing up and walking out of the gym hall as she thought that she saw Rebekah who was supposed to daggered in the tunnels

"In the wake of this tragedy, the town has selected an interim mayor. Many of you may already know him. Please welcome Mr. Rudy Hopkins" Liz told the room

"Erm, what?" Chris said as he saw his dad stand up in the crowd and walk to stand behind the podium "Did you know he was coming?"

"No" Bonnie said in equal shock

Mystic Grill:

After school Chris and Bonnie headed to the Grill together where their dad was speaking to Sheriff Forbes about Carol's death "Are you sure you want this job?" Liz asked "I mean, six people were offered the job before you. They all said no for a reason"

"Well I have two reasons for saying yes. And they just walked in" Rudy nodded to behind her and she saw Chris and Bonnie walked over to them

"I'll let you know what we find" Liz said standing up and nodding to the twins as she walked past them

"Hey, dad" The twins greeted as they sat down

"Hey you two"

"So, far cry from being a travelling pharmaceutical rep" Bonnie said to him

"I noticed that a few of your friends were missing from the assembly. So much for mandatory, I guess, huh?"

Bonnie rolled her eyes to Chris not wanting to deal with that comment from him "Dad, don't start. You can't just roll into town and start making new town rules"

"This town could definitely use a few more rules" Rudy said

"The town doesn't need rules. Me and Bonnie protect it well enough" Chris reminded him while wiggling his fingers

"I am well aware of your gifts, Christopher. But I am your father. That means that I protect you" Rudy said making Bonnie roll her eyes again

After a stressful morning with their dad talking about protection rules for the town and him going on about their magic, Chris rant and raved about his opinions to Shane who was currently writing at his desk
