Salvatore Boarding House,
3rd Person:

It was another day in the lonely Prison World. A lot of time had passed. Many seconds, minutes, hours and days that seemed to age Chris poorly. Chris' was trapped in his routine of clean, destruction then clean again as it was becoming more of a regular occurance

With nothing to do but be angry in the day and sad at night, Chris made a habit out of destroying the expensive items around the house then cleaning them back up so he could try and smash them up again

He knew he was going crazy. No normal human being does this without developed issues. And he wasn't exactly normal. His issues caused him to start hearing things just like way back when Kai was sneaking around the place. Except this time there was really no one in the world besides him

He thought it would be nice to explore the world for free. But he knew that with his unlucky self his friends would come and save him the second he left and he wouldn't know or make it back in time

So until advised by some mysterious force or otherwise, he was going to stay put in the same boring 1994 version of Mystic Falls

The Real World,
Mystic Falls High School:

Elena groaned as her eyes opened, she felt that her arms were up in the air and looked to see that she was bound to the ceiling in the hallway of her old school "We're in my high school?" She asked when she saw Kai bending down to look at the glass trophy case

"They have plenty of restrooms, no flammable surfaces, and everyone's on winter break... still. You know, it's no wonder America got dumb while I was locked up; they're never in school" Kai bent down to look at one of the photos in the case, he pointed at it while grinning to Elena "Is that you? Oh, and there's Chris. Smiling as if people like me were never going to invade and ruin his life" Elena was trying to pull herself free while he was distracted but he then stood up straight and turned back to her "Anyway, do you mind if I try to turn your blood into acid again?"

Elena looked at him in surprise "Again?"

Kai slipped his arms out of his black jacket and threw it on the floor "Yeah, that's uh, that's kinda how you got here in the first place. I was trying the whole acid-blood thing and I think I burst a few important capillaries in your brain, because you blacked out"

"Kai, you don't have to do this. Listen to me, you don't have to do this"

"Think of it as a long due punishment" Kai told her

"For what?" Elena asked

"Chris told me a few stories about his 'friends'. We were bored trying to find a way out, it was dark, the fire was on the whole shebang and got to talking"

"Yeah? So?"

"So? That's what you have to say? Didn't you kill his boyfriend once?" Kai said making Elena go slightly wide eyed not knowing what to say

"Things like that have nothing to do with you. He forgave me for that" Elena assured him

"Really? Because it sounded to me like he still held a grudge. Did he tell you that he forgave you?" Kai asked curiously
