After arriving back home, Stefan got changed and while putting on a shirt he walked back into his bedroom and saw his brother sitting there with his feet on his desk holding one of his diaries in his hand, reading it

"How were tryouts? Did you make the team?" Damon smirked as he mocked the way his brother, an over one hundred year old vampire, was trying to live a normal high school life "Very Emerson, the way you reveal your soul with so many-" Damon lifted the diary to show he had indeed read it. Stefan pulled a face at him and vampire sped over to him, snatching the book from his hands so he couldn't read more "-adjectives"
"What are you doing here?" Stefan asked him with a monotone sound in his voice, not enjoying this encounter
Damon pretended to get serious by taking his feet off the desk and sitting on the edge of the spinny chair "I've come to apologize. I've been doing some thinking, some soul searching, and I want us to start over" Damon stood up and walked up to Stefan "We need to put the past behind us. You're my little brother, and if you want to live a normal, happy human life, then I want that for you. Maybe I can do it, too. That I can learn to be a none living, living person. Maybe there's hope for both of us"
Damon couldn't hold himself anymore and started to burst out laughing while lightly smacking Stefans back "You know, it doesn't have to be this way, Damon"

"Of course it doesn't. I saw Elena today, btw. That means 'by the way'. She was at cheerleading practice. She looked so perky in her little short shorts" He knew he was getting to Stefan because that's what he was purposely doing
"Just simmer down, I didn't even go near her. Those twins are always around her. You know that boy has bad feelings about us. It's only a matter of time before they know about you. And anyway, I've got my own cheerleader now. Ooh, that reminds me, I gotta run. I have a date. Sweaty palms. Wish me luck"
