Bonnie's Car,
The Next Morning,
3rd Person:

The morning finally came where after fifteen years, the Bennett twins were going to meet the mother who abandoned them. They picked up Elena who wanted to come along. But after last night at the Gilbert House when Damon told them about him and Elena kissing, Chris still felt weirded by it

Chris was driving and Bonnie was in the passengers seat while Elena sat in the middle seat in the back of the car so she could easily speak to the twins if she wanted

Chris on the other hand preferred silence right now as he didn't want to get into the Damon situation which was clearly hanging in the air. But with the events that have been going on recently, he knew they would have to inevitably speak

"Can you actually believe we're going to see her. Or meet her actually, since I don't really remember her. Do you?" Bonnie asked Chris in a little excited tone mixed with a tinge of uncertainty

"Nope" He responded, popping the word

"I've never heard either of you talk about her" Elena said from the back

"I mean what is there to say about a woman who left and abandoned her only two children" Chris said while trying to concentrate on figuring out where they have to go

"She also never even been bothered to get in contact with us, even when our Grams died" Bonnie slouched in her seat sadly

"Honestly if we didn't need to use her for the coffin, I wouldn't even be coming with you" Chris muttered

"Alright spill. What has gotten into you? You've been nothing but a grump since you woke up this morning" Bonnie said turning to face her brother with a slight glance to Elena

"It's nothing" Chris huffed

"Really? Sure it's nothing to do with the fact one of our best friends kissed someone you hate more than anyone?" Bonnie said pushing her eyebrows up knowing she was right

Elena shook her head "I'm not going to talk about it, so don't" Bonnie wasn't accepting that and tilted her head raising her eyebrows silently towards the girl

"It's nothing to do with me hating him" Chris couldn't help but spill out "It's the fact your litteraly brother switching to the wrong guy. Damon is evil and Stefan needs our help right now. It's not his fault he's like this right now"

Elena pulled a face towards Chris "He's the one who kissed me! Not the other way around. It's not gonna happen again" Chris rolled his eyes but since Elena was sitting behind him, she couldn't see him do it

"You go on about enemies, Chris but your not entirely in the clear" Bonnie piped up

"Erm, what is that suposed to mean!" He asked in an accusatory tone

"Take a guess on who I saw coming out of our house last night?" Bonnie hummed making Chris know who she was on about

"Who?" Elena asked

"The one and only Klaus" Bonnie said "In our house! How did he even get in? Did you invite him in?"

"No. He broke in. We haven't properly signed to own the house Bonnie since Grams passed" Chris reminded her

"Yeah, I don't think that's the issue here" Bonnie argued

"What was he doing there?" Elena asked

"He asked me to make Stefan tell him where his family were being hidden since he's been going crazy at the moment. I told him it's not really my problem and... that was it" Chris awkwardly paused not wanting to reveal more of the conversation
