3rd Person:

Chris and Bonnie had met up with Silas who wanted them to complete the Expression spell

And while they were quite busy coming up with a plan to try and either avoid this destruction or find a way to pave through the destruction the Salvatore brothers were trying to regain Elenas humanity

Katherine had turned up to try and help as she thought it would be fun to torture Elena. She then informed the brothers that she finally got rid of Klaus by using Hayley and the witches of New Orleans so he couldn't bother them no more

She then left the Salvatores so she could try and mend her relationship with Elijah before he left for New Orleans himself

Salvatore Boarding House:

Chris drove by himself to the Salvatores home to see if they had fixed Elena yet. But he learned that in the time it took Bonnie and himself to come up with a plan to stop Silas, they hadn't even got her humanity back

One thing was is that they agreed to not mention their plan to anyone, since Silas could be anywhere and read the plan from their friends minds

"Where is she?" Chris asked Stefan walking past him when he answered the front door to let him inside "How have you not fixed her yet?"

"We're not letting anyone see her. This is going to take him. Isolation leads to misery which leads to emotion" Stefan explained to him

"Doesn't explain why it's been days. Have you not got any closer to getting her humanity back yet?" Chris asked as he began pushing doors open with an attitude while trying to find her

"Not yet. She doesn't want to bring her humanity back, Chris. Not yet anyway. She's devastated. She lost her brother, tried to kill you and actually killed an innocent woman"

"We left her with you two because you said you knew what you were doing"

"I did say that and we are"

"All I hear is that your torturing her"

"It's not torture. It's more of an intervention" Stefan explained "The only chance we have with her is to provoke her. To trigger something. Fear, anger, self pity, anything"

"How about I talk to her?" Chris said which made Stefan give him a look as he didn't think that was a good idea because the last time he saw her, which was at the prom, they tried to murder one another "Don't give me that look. If she's weak then she can't hurt me" Stefan looked unsure "Come on, you know I'm not going to leave until I do"

"Yeah, you are as stubborn as Damon sometimes" Stefan huffed as he walked to the basement to take Chris to her. He opened one of the cellar doors and saw that she was laying down weakly beside a large safe that Damon was trapping her in while trying to mess with her mind "Have fun"

Chris looked behind him to make sure Stefan had left. He then saw Elena roll her eyes at him "Really, an eyeroll? I guess you don't want this then?" Chris then pulled out a tiny vial of blood out of his pocket. Elena looked at it scepticaly "And no, It doesn't have any vervain in it. I just thought if you had a little blood then we could talk properly" Chris said as he unscrewed the vial and handed it to her

She snatched the vial from his hand and downed it down her neck instantly. She then placed the vial on the ground beside her and began to fiddle with it making an irritating noise "For the record I think you deserve this. It's cruel and you need to put your humanity back on but also you tried to kill me. And the old Elena wouldn't have done that"
