I woke up to the sound of a door slamming, and quick footsteps descending the stairs.

I noticed the way Fred and I were laying. My back was pressed against his naked chest. His arms were wrapped tightly around me and our legs were intertwined.

His rested his face in the crook of my neck, and I could feel his breath against my skin along with the tingles of his eyelashes.

"Fred." I muttered in a hoarse morning voice, reaching back to run my hand through his messy hair.

He hummed in response, in a state between sleeping and being awake.

"Who was that?" I asked him. "That was my door that slammed."

"I don't know, love." He whispered, kissing my neck. "Go back to sleep."

I sighed and grabbed his arm, removing it from around me, and then I got off his other arm that was under me.

I scooted to the side of the bed and got off, walking to the door. I pulled on it, and it wasn't locked like it was when we went to sleep.

"Did you unlock the door?" I asked and looked towards Fred who was now propped up on an elbow, rubbing the sleep from his face with his other hand.

"Why would I unlock the door? It's unlocked?"

"Yes. I told you it was my door that slammed shut." I said. I walked to my dresser and grabbed one of August's hoodies that I had hidden.

I pulled it over my t-shirt before rushing out of my door and down the stairs. I turned to walk around the stairs, and I saw the back of August's head as he walked through the doors to the courtyard.

"Ahh shit." I sighed, running a hand through my hair.

I rushed after him, feeling the need to explain why Fred was in my bed, even though August already knew something was happening between us.

"August!" I shouted as I walked through the doors to the courtyard.

My brother let out a heavy sigh and then turned around to look at me.

Now that I had his attention, I didn't know what to say. I opened my mouth but no words came out.

August raised his eyebrows at me, and then turned back around and continued to walk. I followed him again, because I really hated that he was even angrier now.

"August, please!" I begged, hurrying after him. "I can't stand this anymore. I know you're upset with me and you have every right to be, but please just talk to me."

He didn't listen. I followed him all the way out to the garden where the pool was located.

"I like him!" I exclaimed, and August immediately stopped walking, his back to me.
"You told me that day by the pool that if I ended up actually liking one of your friends... if it was serious, you'd be okay with it."

He slowly turned around to look at me, and he shook his head in disbelief.

"It's been going on for that long?" He asked. "You were asking me, knowing you were with him behind my back?!"

He took a step towards me.

"And I never said that. We were talking about Max and Flynn!"

"And you said it should be enough for me that they loved each other!"

"Yes, but do you love Fred?"

I sighed.

"I like him." I told him. "A lot. Why can't you just support it?"
