Fuck.
I stood in front of my mirror, wearing the fifth outfit and I still didn't like it.
I was starting auror training today, and I was nervous. So nervous.
"This is stupid!" I said, pulling off the shirt before throwing it somewhere in the room.
I could hear Max laugh at my frustration. I looked at him through narrowed eyes as he stood up, making his way to my wardrobe.
"You're so damn moody." He commented. "You need to wear something you can move in. Doesn't have to be pretty."
"Max, I'm not showing up in some ugly orange shirt just because I can move in it."
"You don't even own anything orange." He said. "You basically only own black clothes."
I pressed my lips together and watched him as he went through different fitted shirts.
It was a horrible weather today. Raining outside, and I just knew it was a sign that my first day of auror training would go horribly.
But Max seemed optimistic and completely excited on my behalf.
"So... when are you gonna find yourself a job?" I asked. "You're always just hanging out around here."
Max laughed softly, shaking his head. "I might go work for my sister, actually. She needs to hire someone new, and I'm in need of a job."
"You think Dinah is going to want you working for her?"
"Oi!" Max laughed, grabbing a shirt before turning towards me. "I'm a wonderful person to be around, thank you very much. Here, wear this"
He threw the black fabric at me, and I noticed it was one of my tight-fitted tank tops.
"Max..."
"Just try it on." He told me. I rolled my eyes, but I still pulled the tank top over my head because I didn't want to argue with him.
He always won the arguments.
I turned to one side, looking into the mirror. I ran both hands over my stomach, focusing my eyes there.
"I don't know... I feel like everyone will be able to tell."
"They won't. Babe, you're seven weeks pregnant. You aren't showing."
"I know, but I feel like everyone can see right through my skin and see that there's a fucking fetus in there."
Max let out a deep and amusing laugh, irritating me even more.
"Oh shut up." I muttered, wrapping my arms around my stomach, trying to hide something that wasn't even there.
There was a knock on the door, and Max shouted for whoever it was to come in. When I saw Fred walk through my bedroom door, I smiled widely, taking him in.
God he's beautiful.
He wore a pair of black trousers today, a belt securing them. He also wore a navy blue jumper, the front of it tucked behind his belt buckle.
His hair was combed and looked so soft, ready for my fingers to run through it.
"Hi Max." Fred greeted, but his eyes were focused on me, and I smiled, rushing over to him.
I slid my arms around his neck, hugging him, feeling his arms hug me back.
"Good morning gorgeous." He whispered against my neck.
"Good morning." I replied and pulled back to look at him. "I've missed you."
"Since yesterday?" He smiled down at me. "I've missed you too."
