September was in a few days, which meant that Spencer would be starting his fifth year at the same time as Flora would be starting her first.
They were currently in Diagon alley with mum and dad, buying the last things they needed, and the house was oddly quiet right now.
It was never quiet.
Ronan was out, but I didn't know where.
Flynn was out with Max doing Merlin knows what.
Reuben was with his girlfriend in London. He had stayed with her for the weekend so I hadn't seen him since Friday.
Today was Sunday.
Eliza and Toby went with mum and dad to Diagon alley, because they would rather go there than stay behind with our older brothers who're pure chaos.
But right now, the only people in this house besides me, is Harvey and August, and I had no idea what they were doing, where they were or why the house was so quiet.
They were the loudest ones in my family. The two were inseparable and always had been so when they were alone in the house, they always caused some kind of trouble.
So I was a little suspicious.
I had just gotten back from my run, and I was all sweaty and out of breath, my hands resting on my hips.
I was standing in the entrance hall, trying to listen for any other sound than my breath.
Had they gone out?
Did I have the house to myself for the first time in eighteen years?
"Harvey!" I called out, waiting for a response before calling out again. "August?!"
I ran upstairs and walked to Harvey's bedroom first. I knocked on the door and when I didn't get a response, I walked inside.
He wasn't in his bedroom or his bathroom.
I left again and walked to August's room. But he wasn't in there and he wasn't on the loft of his room either.
I walked to his window and looked out, but they weren't down on the patio.
I decided to walk downstairs again. I continued to listen for any sounds that would give away my brothers whereabouts, but the house was completely quiet.
I checked every room on the ground floor and it took a while to look through all twelve rooms. They still weren't here.
Maybe they were by the pool.
The second I opened the doors to the courtyard, I could hear Harvey cheering. I stepped out and looked around the pillar, seeing a group of people hang out in the courtyard.
My brothers were two of them, and Fred was there too. He and his brother, as well as that Kenneth Towler.
They were playing Exploding Snap. Currently it was Harvey against Fred.
I noticed the sofa that stood next to Harvey, and I walked over, making myself known to the small crowd.
I picked up the soda in hope to distract Harvey and make Fred win a round.
"Hey!" Harvey exclaimed, trying to snatch the sofa back, but I took a sip, and then watched the game.
Fred clapped his hands and cheered as he won a point.
"You just lost me a point, Maves!" Harvey groaned, but then quickly tapped a card, getting a point to himself.
"Why aren't you playing with guys your own age?" I asked with a grin.
