The second I walked through the door to my house the next day, I was attacked by someone hugging me.

I shrieked in surprise, but I recognised the feel of August's hug as he held me tightly, suffocating me.

"Merlin'a dick." I gasped. "Auggie, you're suffocating me."

He pulled back, looking at me with his hands on my shoulders.

"Where the fuck have you been?"

"Uh— I've been safe. Don't worry."

"That doesn't answer my question." He said, and I noticed Ronan behind August, his arms folded over his chest.

"Where is everyone else?" I asked, looking around.

"Still asleep." Ronan shrugged. "Now answer the question. Where were you?"

"I stayed with some people, waiting for the storm to pass." I said. "But it's alright. I had my emergency insulin on me, and I was safe."

"You stayed with some random people?" August frowned as he let go of me.

"Well, not exactly..."

My brothers watched me as I kicked off my shoes and then hung my jacket on the wall. Neither of them said a word until I reached the staircase.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Ronan asked, causing me to pause on the second step.

"Someone we know?" August added, before I turned and faced them.

"I stayed the night with Fred and George." I told him honestly, staring right at my red-haired brother.

I wasn't exactly hiding anything about me sleeping in at their place. Apart from the make out sessions with his best friend.

"Fred and George?" August frowned.

"Yeah, your friends? Remember them?"

"Of course I remember them!" He snapped, folding his arms over his chest.

Ronan seemed to figure that this was a conversation between August and I, so he made his way down to the basement, making sure to shut the door behind them.

"What the hell were you doing at their flat in the first place?"

I shrugged, one hand placed on the banister.

"I bought some toys for George's new dog, and then the storm started. George slept on the sofa and offered me his bed."

Actually, Fred offered me his bed, but if I say it was George, then he won't be so quick to suspect anything happening between Fred and I.

Though every lie I tell him hurts me more and more, because I really don't want to be lying to him.

"It was fine." I assured him. "They're both very nice, and I love their dog. Leia is adorable."

August's face softened slightly, and he didn't seem suspicious so it seemed like I had won.

"Right, well I can't wait to meet the dog. They're coming over later with her."

"I know." I nodded. "Toby is very excited."

I then spun around and jogged up the stairs, walking across the landing to my bedroom. I stepped in, shut the door behind me, and then found some parchment so I could write Fred and tell him that August thought George was the one who gave up his bed for me.

After I owled the letter, using our family's owl that slept in my parents bedroom, I walked back to my own room and decided to take a nap.

It was difficult sleeping with a storm happening outside, but the storm was now over so I could finally get some rest.
