I woke up at three in the morning due to a sound coming from downstairs.
I lifted my head off the pillow, narrowing my eyes as I turned towards the door.
Waiting a moment for more, I laid back down, but another thump caused me to sit upright, my eyes wide.
I sat there for a moment, my heart racing. It was probably one of my siblings, but then again... it worried me for some reason.
I was never woken up in the middle of the night by them making noises downstairs. If they were up, they would do their best not to wake everyone else up.
Crawling out of bed, I looked for my wand and eventually found it. Sneaking out of the room, I froze when the floor creaked.
My heart was absolutely racing, and I was starting to sweat slightly.
I tiptoed across the landing and down the staircase, but I froze again when I saw that the lights were on in the kitchen, and someone were shuffling through the drawers.
I continued down stairs, moving slowly through the room. I entered the kitchen, sneaking along the wall until I reached the corner that would reveal the counters.
Quickly, I turned around the corner, screaming the first spell that came to mind, and I heard someone scream while the figure dropped to the floor to look for cover.
The glass of water on the counter exploded, and my eyes narrowed as I saw the person sitting on the floor, covering his face.
"Weasley?!" I snapped, and he slowly looked up. "What the hell are you doing here?!"
He stood up, rubbing his hands along his jumper before he turned and gestured towards another sleeping person sitting on the stool by the kitchen island.
August.
My brother was leaning over the island, snoring, but I hadn't heard him or noticed him before.
"We went out and he got a tad too drunk." Fred told me. "I couldn't even drink because I needed to watch this idiot."
I sighed and placed my wand on the counter.
"I'm sorry I almost blew up your head." I said, chewing on my lip as I looked at August. "But you woke me up and I thought there was an intruder."
"I'm sorry for waking you up." He smiled softly, looking at what was once a glass of water. "I'm going to fix this up so he can have something to drink, because he needs it."
He pulled his wand from his back pocket, and I took the time to take him in.
He was wearing some light blue jeans that were ripped at the knees, a black Nirvana t-shirt and a red and black flannel.
