Somehow I ended up curled up on the sofa in the basement, all of my older brothers here to talk to me about sex.

Max was here too, and I was shooting daggers at him with my eyes.

"This is literally so humiliating." I spoke, looking up at Ronan who had just spoken.

Most of my brothers were shit at being serious, but as soon as it came to me and something they worried about, they were so serious it was scary.

"Don't look at Max like that." Flynn spoke. "He's only worried like the rest of us."

"Worried about what?" I snapped. "I'm one teenage girl out of many who likes to have sex. What's so wrong with that? I bet every single one of you guys had a body count higher than mine when you were my age."

I threw my head back, knowing they knew I was right. They were all acting like this because they were my brothers and they didn't like the thought of me having sex.

And Max was doing this for the same reason. He was my best friend and he was protective of me.

"Yeah, you're right." I heard Reuben say, and I looked at him. "It's not fair that we try to control your life like that. Just... be safe, okay? Use a condom even if you're on birth control."

I made a face, because I really didn't want to add anymore to this conversation.

"She can't even talk about it with a straight face." Flynn groaned. "She shouldn't be having sex!"

"She's eighteen in under a month." Reuben argued. "As long as she's being safe, I don't see a problem with it."

I heard a sigh, and I looked at Ronan as he ran a hand down the length of his face.

"He was twenty-nine." He sighed. "A man at that age shouldn't be having sex with a seventeen-year-old girl. That's disgusting."

"Yeah, well—"

"Did he know that?" Harvey asked, turning to look at me. "That you're seventeen."

"I mean, yes but—"

"What's his name?" Ronan asked quickly, earning my attention.

"Uh... I have no idea. We didn't exactly exchange names."

Silence fell upon the room, Ronan's eyes focused on me. Then Flynn stood up and gestured for Max to follow him.

I watched my best friend rise from his seat, and I glared at him which he ignored.

"Alright." Harvey cleared his throat and rubbed his hands together. "I think it's time we have lunch. Ronan, wanna help me in the kitchen?"

Ronan gave a small nod, and they followed Flynn and Max out of the basement.
