"We should totally start a band."
I choked on my slice of pizza, staring wide-eyed at Harvey's suggestion. He looked at August who paused, eyes slowly growing wide as well.
"We totally should!" He spoke, turning to stare back at Harvey. "You should sing and I can play guitar!"
"Nah, I'm not singing. Mavis is." Harvey responded, and my eyes widened, but they didn't seem to notice as they continued discussing it.
"You can sing?" Towler asked me, but I just shook my head and continued to stare at my brothers who were now discussing who were going to write their songs.
"Wait... I want in on this whole band thing." Spencer spoke as he threw a napkin at Harvey.
Harvey and August both looked at him.
"And what can you do?" August asked. "Play the triangle?"
"August c'mon." Harvey said, nudging August before turning back towards Harvey. "We would love to have you join us Spence... when you're seventeen. Mum and dad would never let you join our band. Especially because you're still in school."
I put down my slice of pizza, clearing my throat to get the attention.
"You're being serious about this?" I asked. "You want to start a band?"
Both of them grinned, and Harvey nodded eagerly. "And we need you to sing!"
I looked at him for a second before shaking my head, letting out a laugh.
"Forget about it."
"What? Maves we need you!" He whined. "No one sings better than you."
"That's a lie." I told him, folding my arms on the table. "You took singing lessons from a professional when you were younger."
"You took singing lessons?" Fred asked, looking down the table to where Harvey sat.
"Oh, he did." I confirmed, and Fred's attention landed on me as I explained it to him. "He was always singing. No matter where we were, he would sing, and he was good at it too. He was born with that talent, so mum and dad put him in singing lessons, and he only got better. His biggest dream was to be a famous singer."
"And that dream crashed." Harvey said, shaking his head. "Now I'm stuck working a desk job at Gringotts with Bill bloody Weasley as my superior."
"Oi!" George spoke, frowning. "That's our brother you're talking about."
"And he's nice, alright?" Harvey lifted his hands in defence. "But as a boss he can be kind of strict. I can't have girls in my office."
I cocked an eyebrow at him but he didn't seem to notice.
"Then at least be our manager and songwriter." He said. "Your songs are fire."
That caught my attention, because no one knew I wrote songs. Not even my family. And they aren't even songs. It's poems.
"Harvey..." I said, trying to keep calm.
That notebook where I wrote my poems, is the same notebook I use to get my thoughts out. I have definitely written about Fred and I in it, and if he has read that...
"What?"
"Did you read my notebook?" I asked quietly.
"He didn't." August said, staring at me, and from his expression I knew he were just reminded of something. "I did."
My heart practically stopped beating at that. August took another bite of pizza while staring at my eyes as I stared at his.
Then I stood up, pushing the chair back. I left the dining room, hurrying up to my room.
