Subprompt : Running Out Of Air
Fandom : The Little Vampire 3D
Pairing : Tony/Rudolph
Chronology : Post-canon

Tony and Rudolph decided to play hide and seek- Just because they had both gone through so much didn't change the basic fact that they were still kids.

Tony went into the basement where they'd moved in all the coffins for the vampires to sleep (with the exception of Rudolph, who still slept in Tony's room). Sure, Rudolph might check down there, but it was highly unlikely that he'd check every single coffin, if he checked any at all.

This proved to be correct, as plenty of time passed and Rudolph couldn't find the blonde.

Seeing that he was in the safe zone, Tony decided to lift the lid on the coffin to try and get some air (it was pretty stifling in that tiny box), only to find... Uh oh

It was stuck.

Tony began to panic, breathing quickly and unintentionally using up a bunch of the air he had in there. He knew it wouldn't be too long before he started to truly suffocate, and he couldn't even really scream for help since he was in a box underneath the house. No one would hear him.

"No no no no no" he muttered to himself in a panic, trying to calm his breathing to not use up his air too quickly. Not that it matters a voice in his head whispers. Just dragging out the inevitable at some point

An hour passed. Then another. Then another. Rudolph was growing increasingly worried. He'd given up searching, assuming that Tony would come out eventually with a shit-eating grin on his face, bragging about how good at the game he was.

But, of course, that never happened, and eventually it struck him. The one place he hadn't checked.

The basement.

Terrified about what state his boyfriend would be in, he flew over to the basement door and ripped it open, running down the stairs and yelling Tony's name in a panicked voice. Sure enough, he heard a weak thud come from one of the coffins and quickly ran over to find the lid stuck.

He quickly looked around for some tool to use. Humans needed to breathe, and he knew this was pushing it. Thankfully, he spotted a rusty crowbar in the corner and quickly snatched it before rushing back to the coffin and prying it open.

Tony gasped and coughed as air flooded his lungs. His face was extra pale, and his lips were drained of color. "Rudolph"

"You idiot!" the vampire scolded as he helped the blonde out of the coffin, pulling him into a hug. "You scared me"

"I won"

"What?"

"Hide n seek" Tony reminded him. "You had to call for me to find me" he explained. "I won"

Rudolph laughed. This was so absurd. The kid had almost died and here he was, chuckling breathlessly about how he'd won.

"I love you, idiot" Rudolph told him, the adrenaline leaving his body. "Never do that again" he begged. "You really scared me"

"Yeah, yeah"
