Fandom : Stick War : Legacy
Pairing : Female Archidon/Female Archidon
Chronology : Pre-canon

Two Archidons walked into the nearest forest together to hunt for some food.

See, their group of Archidons cycled through hunters every day, just to keep everyone's skills sharp (animals were good practice for when they would eventually need to fight other people), and this pair always insisted on going together. There was talk around the group of a secret relationship, but neither cared to address it. After all, team or not, it wasn't really their business.

"Are there even any deer in these woods?" the shorter one asked in annoyance after over an hour of searching endlessly, finding nothing of use. Hell, they hadn't even seen any squirrels. It was like all the animals in the forest had up and vanished just to spite them. The taller one opened her mouth to respond when suddenly a twig snapped nearby.

"Listen" she muttered, grabbing an arrow and keeping it ready to go, a motion that the other echoed, keeping quiet. They stood like that for a moment, frozen in time as they waited for the animal to emerge, but nothing showed its face. They were both ready to dismiss it and go back to searching when another twig snapped  from behind them. Then one from their right. And their left. And figures were coming into the light, and-

Fuck

"It's an ambush" the taller Archidon realized, causing all the Swordwrath hiding in the forest to fully come out and charge at them. They knew they didn't stand a fighting chance- Their bows took time to get prepared and were meant as long distance weapons. By the time either of them would get their first shot in, the swordsmen could easily have four hits on them both. That wasn't even addressing the fact that they were woefully outnumbered.

So, they did the next best thing : They ran.

They ran and ran and ran, the Swordwrath not far behind, all the way back to their camp, screaming about an incoming attack and feeling an ounce of relief as the other Archidons quickly got to their feet, drawing their bows and staying alert for nearby enemies to begin hiring at. The hunters dove into a tent to regain their bearings before going back out there.

"Holy shit" the taller one breathed as the adrenaline began wearing off. The shorter one chuckled, sounding borderline hysterical as she did so.

"Holy shit indeed"

"Guess we're not having deer tonight"
