Prompt 6.5 : Dazed & Confused

Agent 355, while feeling a bit more at ease and safe with Allison and Yorick than she ever had before, still struggled with her sleepwalking issue. Most nights, Allison would just lie on her, weighing down her body so she couldn't wander off in the middle of the night. Other nights, the scientist would be working late, and Yorick would find the taller woman standing out in the woods with a glazed-over expression and walk her back to wherever they were crashing.

One particular night, Yorick was already asleep when 355 wandered out of the small cabin the trio was staying in. Allison heard the door open and sighed as she saw the figure walking outside from the corner of her eye. She knew she theoretically could've just left it and it would've been fine. After all, the agent always found her way back in the morning after she woke up. But, they were pretty close to a cliff... Better safe than sorry

She stood up from where she'd been working, stretched briefly, then put on her shoes to go follow her girlfriend. Ampersand, who was sitting on the desk she'd been working at, tilted his head in curiosity. "I'll be right back" she told him with a small smile before speed-walking out of the cabin to find where the agent had gone off to.

At first, she was worried she'd have trouble, but a twig snapping in the woods nearby pointed her in the right direction, so she started walking in that direction. She knew to be slow. Any quick movements would freak out the other woman in this state, depending on how aware she was. Allison wasn't super worried for her own safety, but she also just didn't want to be in an altercation with someone twice her size at one in the morning.

When she finally spotted 355, she was walking right up to the edge of the cliff. It was then that the scientist decided Nevermind, I should probably run, which she did. She managed to catch 355's arm right before she was about to step off. Surprisingly, this didn't wake the agent up. Wow Allison thought as she slowly began walking the both of them back to the cabin. She must be really out of it

"Dr. Mann?" Agent 355 asked at one point during the brief walk, jostled into half-awakeness by the contact.

"You were sleepwalking again" Allison told her matter-of-factly. "I'm walking you back so you don't hurt yourself"

"Oh" 355 muttered, drifting back out of consciousness again. "That's nice"

"Okay"
