After his fight with Rhea, Doug needed crutches.

This wasn't surprising or even that big of a deal since his team was off-season now, but it was still a new thing to get used to. Thankfully for him, even though Eva immediately ditched his ass, Xavier was still helpful as ever and would help tend to his needs in between lines of cocaine.

"How long do you think it's gonna take to heal now?" Xavier asked one day out of curiosity. Doug thought for a moment, remembering back to what the doctor said.

"When I went to the hospital, the doctor said that it would be 'three months at most'" he recounted. "So, two more months 'at most'"

"Awww, poor baby" Xavier teased, taking a hit off his current joint before scooting closer to his boyfriend, blowing the smoke in the other direction out of respect.

"It's not that bad" Doug dismissed, not picking up that Xavier wasn't being serious. "I just need to keep taking my pain meds and using the crutches so I can heal quicker and play with you guys again"
