Unique hardly ever brought it up, but she did worry about Marley. Sure, the girl hid her eating disorders pretty decently, but the signs were still clear if you looked hard enough. The way she would get lightheaded after a particularly bad week. The way she would spread apart the food on her lunch tray to make it look like she ate. The long trips to the bathroom.

One particularly bad Friday, Unique noticed her friend stumbling quite a bit and decided it was time to intervene. So, she asked the shorter girl to follow her to the bathroom- Whenever she had the courage to use the girls' room, she always asked Marley to come with her for safety reasons since she was one of the only people who fully accepted her as a girl, so it was an easy cover for what her real intention was.

Upon entering the bathroom, Marley immediately went and stabilized herself against the sink as she waited for Unique to enter one of the stalls, only to grow quickly confused when she realized Unique was just staring at her. "What are you-"

"What have you eaten today?"

"Marley"

"Please, Unique" Marley tried to dismiss. "Can we not do this right now?"

"You are stumbling like a newborn deer" Unique pressed. "You need to eat something"

"It's not that simple, okay?" Marley told her, growing desperate. Unique frowned. In all honesty, she wasn't sure how to help Marley, but goddamn she wanted to at least try. "Can you just drop it?"

"I have a cereal bar in my bag" Unique told her. "If nothing else, at least eat that today, okay?"

"...Fine"

"Thank you"
