Chapter 32

Today was a very special day because it was our anniversary. I didn't plan anything as I didn't know if Eddie was going to be romantic and plan something nice, I hope he did. I walked to my locker and put my stuff up to go to the cafeteria. I went and sat down at the hellfire table when Dustin sat next to me.
Dustin: Hey sis!
Y/n: Hey Dustin.
Dustin: So, today is your anniversary!
Y/n: You remembered?
Dustin: Yeah, of course I remember my big sister's anniversary!
Y/n: Are you sure someone didn't just tell you?
Dustin: Fine... Gareth told me.
Y/n: Wow... your so thoughtful.
I gave Dustin a big smile and Eddie walked over to us.
Eddie: Hello princess!
Y/n: Hi Eddie!
Eddie: You look awfully happy today.
Y/n: I am very happy today.
Eddie: Your adorable, what has you smiling like that?
My smile immediately dropped.
Y/n: What?
Eddie looked at me concerned.
Eddie: Did I do something wrong?
Y/n: Oh no, your fine.
Did he forget our anniversary? I sat there quietly with my head down as everyone ate their food. I felt Dustin rub my back and I looked up at him. He gave me a soft smile and I just smiled at at him. I started fidgeting with my fingers and bouncing my leg.
Dustin: Y/n, it's okay, calm down.
When Dustin said that everyone looked at me. My face went a little red and I just sat there with an awkward smile.
Eddie: Are you okay?
Y/n: I'm fine.
Eddie: Princess, I know somethings wrong.
I felt my eyes start to tear up so I rushed out of my seat and into the bathroom. When I got there I locked my self into a stall and sat on the toilet crying. I guess he did forget, I just wanted to go home and forget about everything. I put myself together and put some cold water on my face. I got my backpack and snuck out of the school. I got in my car and drove home. Technically I was Eddie's ride home but I didn't care. He forgot our anniversary so I forgot him.

I got to my house and slammed the front door and I walked in. I ran to my bedroom and jumped on the bed as I looked out the window. I can't believe he forgot. I felt terrible and just wanted to do something to distract me. Maybe paint? Or dance? Definitely not reading a book! I could try to paint I guess. I got out my paint supplies and a canvas I had stored in my closet. I started to paint a dog in a dark street.

Eddie's pov:
I watched y/n rush out of the cafeteria. Why was she sad?
Eddie: Do you know what's wrong with her?
Gareth: Dude seriously?
Dustin gave me a fuck you look and rolled his eyes.
Dustin: Go find out.
I got up and walked into the hallway and seen y/n's car was gone, she left.

I left the school and ran to her house hoping she was there. When I seen her car in the drive way I knew she was. I knocked on her door and rang the door bell. Please open the door.

Y/n's pov:
I was almost done with my painting I heard someone knock on the door then ring the door bell. I put my paintbrush down and went to the door. I opened it to see Eddie there having trouble breathing.
Eddie: Y/n... I-I was worried...
Y/n: Did you run here?
Eddie: Y-Yeah.
I giggled and quickly stopped.
Y/n: I don't want to talk to you.
I started to shut the door but Eddie stopped it with his foot.
Eddie: Why, what did I do?
Y/n: You forgot our anniversary Eddie...
My voice got soft as disappointment washed over me. I seen Eddie's facial expression change when I said that.
Eddie: What...
Then it clicked in his brain that today was our anniversary, his eyes widened as he looked at me and his jaw dropped.
Eddie: Oh, princess I'm so sorry!
Y/n: Yeah...
I pushed Eddie foot out of the way and shut the door in his face. I looked out the window carefully to make sure Eddie didn't see me, I seen him sitting on the step with his hands on his face. Maybe I overreacted, I need to go out there. I waited for a minute as I seen him push his hair back behind his ear and seen how disappointed he looked in himself. I slowly opened the door and sat next to him. I wrapped my arms around him and felt him slightly jump but he immediately wrapped his arms around me when he realized it was me.
Y/n: I'm sorry I might have overreacted.
Eddie: No I completely understand y/n, I was the one who forgot our anniversary.
Y/n: It's okay Eddie.
I grabbed Eddie's hand and kissed the back of it.
Y/n: I love you.
Eddie: I love you to y/n and I promise I will make it up to you.
Y/n: You better.
Me and Eddie giggled as we looked into each others eyes.
Eddie: Let's go on an anniversary date tonight okay?
I nodded as I smiled at him.
Eddie: I will pick you up at 6.
Y/n: Okay.
Eddie kissed me and then left. I went back into the house to finish my painting and get ready for the date.
