"The Jacobsons are hosting brunch today," Reiji said, leaning his body against the white door frame, arms folded over his chest. Fuschia eyes were trained on his grumbling wife as she rolled over in the bed that was far from big enough for Reiji's preferences - especially with a woman who had no idea how to stay still in her sleep. He raised an eyebrow as she lazily threw her pale hand in the air, waving him away. "It's 10am, you've slept enough." In retaliation, she groaned and threw a pillow his way. With ease, the tall man caught the flying object with a small sigh. "Get up now or I'll dress you today." That made her roll out of the tall bed, cheeks red and eyebrows furrowed.

"Do we have to go?" she asked, pushing her messy hair from her face and wiping the drool down her chin as she opened her drawers.

"Of course," Reiji replied, lifting her golden hair brush and sauntering behind her. He was gentle as he held her upper arm, steadying her as he pulled the bristles through her bird's nest. Reiji was a lot taller than her, which made the first blood gulp anxiously as his icy hand held her in place.

"What are you doing?" she asked, glancing at him in the mirror. He was too focused on unknotting her hair. His jaw was clenched as he removed his hand from her arm, stroking her hair gently. He was silent as he placed the brush down, his hands landing on her hips before he finally met her eyes in the mirror.

"You've been a good wife lately," he praised, "please be ready within the hour - I'll make you some toast." With that, his hands left her body and he left the room quietly. Athena was astonished, to say the least. Was he feeling okay? Things had been... different between them after his... 'apology'. The bruise on her cheek had faded a little and she sighed as she applied a creamy moisturiser to her pale face. If her brothers saw it... She shook her head, not wanting to even think about the consequences that'd take place.

The Sakamaki wife looked into the mirror, grey eyes locking as she sat herself in the vanity, opening the small drawers. She needed to fully conceal this bruise. She hummed softly, gently applying the moist foundation upon her face as she listened to her husband's footsteps downstairs. Her mind pondered for a moment, curious for their future together.

Reiji Sakamaki's eye twitched as he cracked the egg, letting it slither into the heated pan. He could hear his wife clumsily making her way around upstairs, no doubt messing things up. The pale man glimpsed towards the clock upon the wall, it was 10:20am. He watched as the egg cooked quickly, slowly slipping it upon the buttered toast resting upon the floral-patterned china plate. He untied the thin apron, hanging it upon the hook as he made his way to the bottom of the stairs.

"Breakfast is ready, my dear," he called up, irked by her inability to be on time. He heard her stumble, notifying him that she was on her way. The vampire sighed, placing the plate upon the table where she was to sit. He moved to wash the dishes, listening to her grumbles as she stalked down the hall. "Cheer up, Darling," he commented, scrubbing at the pan, "I'll buy you more canvases if you behave well."

"I am not a mere child that you can bribe," she retorted, sitting herself before her breakfast, "have you already eaten?"

"I can only stomach so much human food," he replied, "I'm saving myself for lunch." Athena let out a soft snort as she stared down at her plate. "I apologise, I seem to have forgotten your tea."

"What a husband you are," Athena teased with a small chuckle, "thank you, nonetheless." She sent a wink Reiji's way when he turned to look at her. He stiffened.

Her makeup was subtle and romantic, her lips pink, eyelids peach and cheeks a soft red. Her eyelashes were long and coated with black, her nose sparkled, as did the inner corners of her eyes. Her soft, auburn waves had been pinned back, revealing her white complexion. Athena was dressed well too, a dark skirt, a peachy, flowing blouse with a thin, gold necklace circling her neck. Her wedding ring gleamed as the sunlight pooled through the window.
