The limousine was silent as the Sakamakis and their bride travelled to the grand night school. Athena sat beside her husband, back straight, an open book leaning upon her pale hands. Auburn hair had been plaited from the centre of the back of her head and down to her waist, it was finished with a fuschia, velvet bow. Reiji, too, was reading a book, one leg crossed over the other.

"What's on your mind, Pancake?" Ayato decided to break the silence, causing Yui to squeal and scurry to the side, away from him. She didn't reply, making him lean closer to her, "You have a lot of guts to defy Yours Truly, Pancake."

"Stop calling me that!" She'd placed her hand on his chest, attempting to push him back. "I have a name and it's Yui Komori!" Athena had closed her book now, leaving it aside as she leaned against the plush cushion behind her.

"Shut up," Ayato sulked, "Your opinion won't matter to me in your lifetime, Pancake." He leaned towards the skinny blonde, fangs out.

Reiji's book slammed shut next, catching both 17 year olds' attention. He sighed, pushing his glasses up before saying, "Ayato, how many times must I tell you? Take such activities to your room." Athena's jaw clenched slightly but she said nothing, choosing to stare out the window. "This is for you." Reiji's gloved hand tossed a cold carton of cranberry juice Yui's way. "100% cranberry juice is the best cure for weak blood."

"Thank you..." Yui murmured, causing Athena to look her way, eyebrows furrowed.

"It isn't a gift," she said sternly, "we're just keeping our assets alive."

"She's not your anything," Ayato sneered, arm snaking around Yui's shoulders, "you two have each other." Athena and Reiji shared a brief glance before the first blood sighed, falling silent once more.

"My, my," Laito spoke up, "has our little Tsukinami finally broken?" Athena rolled her eyes, looking out at the moon.

"She's not 'our' anything," Kanato sulked, "she's Reiji's." His round eyes glowered as they hovered upon Reiji's unamused face. Athena's eyes slithered to Yui, who was staring at her with a mixture of fear and confusion. The limo came to a stop and everyone sat quietly for a few moments. Subaru left first, and then Shuu. Reluctant, the triplets followed behind, leaving Reiji, his bride and the sacrifice.

"Are you going to kill me?" Yui whimpered, eyes flickering between the two of them.

"Don't be absurd," Reiji scolded, turning to look at Athena, "you have art first." She nodded stiffly. "I'll see you in Chemistry."

"Yes Dear," she forced a smile, brushing off her skirt and stepping out of the vehicle.

Ansel had been lounging in his seat, rocking back ever so slightly as he hummed deeply. His soft locks had been cut, clippered at the sides and swept back - it suited him. His eyes opened as the chair beside him scraped against the floor, being moved elsewhere.

"Long time no see," the man grinned, winking at his favourite classmate.

"Hello Ansel," Athena returned, prepping her easel in place and sliding the half-finished canvas into it. She lifted her transparent art palette, grey eyes flickering over the many different colours.

"Where have you been?" He leaned forward, tongue darting over his lower lip as his green eyes sparkled as he watched her intensely, "I've been so lonely without my artist."

"Family matters," Athena replied, plucking her favourite brush from the pot and twirling it in thought.

"You smell different," he commented, standing up and moving to stand behind her - as he usually did, he was fond of watching her paint.
