Shouts echoed throughout the Kingdom as the first explosion hit the South wall. Bright light flashed and large chunks of rubble were thrown across the village nearby. The wall's remains attacked the humble homes of innocent civilians, crushing the market and sinking the pavilion. Desperate men and women ran, clutching their belongings and their children as large flames began to eat away at the Kingdom's poorest village.

"Man the walls!" Subaru Sakamaki yelled. He was dressed in his knight's armour, his helmet pulled down to cover his hardened, ruby eyes. Half of his army ran past him, heading towards the breach in the towering wall whereas the other half helped civilians to the large trains prepped to take them to the castle. The second explosion hit the centre of the village, crashing into the large fountain and flying out, damaging whatever was left of the tall buildings.

The attacker had made his way into the Kingdom.

"You told me that there was movement in the East!" Roared Reiji as he stormed into the meeting hall, his face was contorted into a horrid scowl as his gloved hand slammed against the sleek table.

"Hanamura examined it," Laito said quickly, pacing back and forth as another explosion went off in the distance.

"Report your findings," snapped the King as he glared at the skinny man who stood by his designated seat.

"There was only a campsite," he said quickly, "we couldn't find anything."

"Subaru and his men are currently dealing with the situation," Laito said, "Kanato is currently ordering the servants to open up the North Wing to the citizens."

"Laito, I want you and Ayato to take your men down to help. Ayato's men can patrol." Reiji said quickly.

"Understood." The Prince was gone.

"Hanamura."

"Yes, Your Highness?"

"I have a job for you."

"It's been a long while since we've been shopping together," Yui commented as she sat herself beside Athena in the back seat of Ruki's small, grey Mustang.

"It's a shame it has to be spoiled," Athena grumbled, glaring at the back of Ruki's head as he silently drove the car to the town.

"Don't spoil it further with your attitude," Yui scolded, taking her friend's hand in hers, "we'll look for some things for the boys."

"I do owe Reiji an entire china collection," she sighed, causing Yui to chuckle lightly. "Anyways, Ruki, Yui has a personal errand to run so you and I will be waiting for her in a cafe, understood?"

"Don't order me around, barista."

"I am your Queen."

"I thought you were off duty."

"Shove it."

The town was lively and busy as the supernatural trio exited the car. Athena had been dressed in a kind brown skirt with dark tights and a cream sweater. Yui chose to wear a pink skirt with dark tights and a brown sweater. They wore watching cream leg warmers which Yuma had knitted and thrown their way silently that very morning. Winter had fallen in the human realm and Christmas had passed a few weeks before.

"Where to first, ladies?" Ruki said.

"Just so you know," Athena snapped, "you're carrying our new belongings."

"Let's look around the market first," Yui suggested, pulling the scowling Queen away from her frowning host.

A few hours had passed and the girls had bought several accessories, books and gifts. Athena had been growing weary before she spotted a very familiar cup. Her eyes widened as she made a bee-line towards it. Her fingers were about to caress the fragile handle when a sharp hand smacked hers.
