Athena was not a fighter. She'd been raised as a Princess, a woman who would soon become a wife, a gentle being - much like her mother. The Queen relied on her survival instincts; there was no way that she'd ever defeat her trained brother-in-law. "You've an unfair advantage," she said, glancing at the shining sword held loose in his hand as she stepped back, hitting her back against the countertops. She held Yui tightly in her arms, the Vampire girl was unconscious, dried blood stained her forehead.

"Since when did you play fair, Athena?" Shu Sakamaki taunted, stepping forward, slowly closing the gap between them. He was dressed in an open leather coat which reached the tips of his long boots. His chest was bare and well sculpted, it was obvious he'd been working out. His trousers were tight and black and tucked into his chunky heeled boots. Athena winced as the tip of his sword pressed against her neck, drawing crimson. His free hand caressed her cheek as he grinned, blue eyes staring deep into her petrified soul. "We would have made a wonderful pair, Athena," he whispered huskily, lips brushing against her rosy cheek. His pink lips were cold as he pressed a long, meaningless kiss to her flesh.

"What do you want, Shu?" She hissed, side-eyeing the prince who dragged his tongue along her jawline, "And why are you cosplaying a pirate?"

"The throne," he said, pulling away from her as another explosion sounded and gripping her face with his hand.

"Reiji has the throne," Athena snapped, her voice weird as her cheeks were squished, "you had your chance. I would have happily married you had you not thrown that temper tantrum."

"Happily?" His eyebrow quirked, hand leaving her face.

"You were a nice boy, you were only ever kind to me when we were little," she said, "unlike Reiji. I don't know why you turned me down."

"I was in love," Shu said solemnly, sighing as he dragged a hand through his long hair, "a beautiful pauper, her name was Penelope. She had the loveliest chestnut curls, the prettiest hazel eyes. She died in the village fire that your no-good husband set."

"He didn't want to set that fire." Athena defended, "Karlheinz was controlling him."

"Is that what he told you?" Shu snorted, his shiny black boots hit the dusty floor as he looked around the ruined room. The wall had collapsed and the window's glass scattered across the floors, crunching beneath Athena's heeled shoes as she slowly stepped to the side. "You're so naive." The man chuckled, his voice low as he looked back at Athena. "Where are you going? We're still talking."

"Yui needs medical care," Athena said, gripping her friend tight, "and I've no time for your bullshit."

"I love your mouth," Shu smirked, "your vulgar manners, your lack of hesitation. You're the perfect woman."

"I'm married to your brother."

"Divorce him and marry me," he said, "I can make you a very happy lady."

"Are you proposing?" Athena rolled her eyes, "Do so properly, at least."

"Bossy," he smirked, "divorce my brother first."

"What if I don't like the ring you offer?" Athena sighed, "Or the way you propose? What if you don't make me the 'happiest' lady?"

"Oh trust me," Shu said, dragging the tip of his sword across the floor, "I will give you pleasure that's unheard of."

"Yes, I'm sure you would," she said, "I will never divorce your brother. He is a good man and he treats me well."

"Oh really?" Shu smirked, dazzling eyes meeting her wide pair, "Reiji ordered me to kill you and your brothers."
