Athena was careful to stay quiet as she gently placed her scribbled letter underneath her pillow. She'd waited hours for her husband to fall into a deep slumber before getting up and quickly changing into a pair of leggings and a dark, hooded tunic. She'd pinned her hair up, away from her face and she had pulled the hood down to hide her features as she slipped a sharp dagger into her sheath which hung on the buckle of her tunic. She looked at her husband one last time before leaving the room and heading down the dark corridor.
The entire mansion was dormant, ignorant to her movement as she stepped cautiously down the steps. All she needed to do was escape the Sakamaki property... and then she'd be free. The entrance door whined as she opened it, causing her to scowl as she slipped through it, closing it gently once more. For an expensive home, it sure did make a lot of ill noise. Putting it past her, she hurried across the courtyard, choosing to hop the fence rather than opening the screaming iron. She grinned once she'd landed on the other side, taking off in a run towards her destination: the church.
It was dark and looked abandoned once she got there, the only lit light was dim and it flickered menacingly as she sauntered up the rocky pathway. It looked different to when she'd last seen it. A dark aura wrapped around it, crushing on her chest as she got closer and closer. She didn't need to knock on the door for it to open.
He was standing by the podium, wrapped in black robes, his eyes trained on her as she entered the dimly-lit room.
He stood still, watching as she pulled down her large hood, revealing her pale face. Her eyes grew wide as his own hood fell, revealing his aged face. Tears pricked in her eyes as she looked him up and down.
"You look just like your father," she whispered, pressing her hand to her heart.
"How did you know my father?"
"I was good friends with your mother."
"You're the wife of the man who murdered them."
"Yes. I am."
She barely had the time to react when the silver blade came flying her way.

Reiji frowned as he teleported from room to room. Her scent was faint, her presence long gone as he searched frantically for his wife. He was still in his pyjamas, his thick eyebrows furrowed as he attempted to catch her scent on anything. She was gone.
He'd woken up from a bad nightmare, sweating and panting before he'd realised her disappearance. As the minutes passed, his worry turned into anger. He startled Laito as he appeared in the music room, jaw and fists clenched as he glanced around.
"I don't think I've ever seen you wear anything but a suit," he commented, "why do you look so angry?"
"Have you seen Athena?"
"I thought it was strange when her scent disappeared in the night. No, I've not seen her."
"In the night?"
"Well, day, our sleeping hours. I was awake but I didn't bother to check."
"Was there another scent?"
"I did catch a whiff of wet dog," Laito replied, causing Reiji to sigh before teleporting to his bedroom.

Ansel had been sitting at his desk in the art room, tracing his soft pencil against the thick paper in the shape of a perfect circle. His blonde hair had been tied back and his uniform was as scruffy as ever. He didn't flinch when the pureblood appeared before him, glowering at the werewolf.
