"Last call!" Diluc announced to the tavern. Many patrons came to the bar, and others simply left. Deciding you had enough for the night, you paid Diluc, said your goodbyes, and told Mona you would wait for her outside while she paid her tab.

You exited the tavern into the cold air of the night. Your white breath danced towards the clouds as if to join them. You swayed in intoxication, your whole balance thrown off as you stared up at the sky.

Then, someone bumped into you, HARD.

"Ow!" you yelped as you stumbled to regain your balance. You looked at your assailant. It was exactly who you'd hoped it wasn't.

"My bad," Kaeya slurred, swaying in place, "Maybe you shouldn't stand right in front of the door."

"Of fucking course it was you," you slurred right back, "You really are the fucking devil." The amount of intoxication you two contained was reaching volatile levels as you glared at each other in the dark.

"You're just always in my way," he muttered angrily. Your glare deepened.

"That's rich," you spat sarcastically, "Me being in your way. Hilarious." Kaeya took a step towards you threateningly.

"I'm sick of this fucking grudge you hold against me," he said, poking a finger into your chest, "Get over it. Be a fucking adult. I'm Cavalry Captain and you're not." His words stung just as badly this time as it did when it was announced. You felt tears prick your eyes.

"I'm not giving up," you replied shakily. Kaeya laughed out loud in your face.

"What? Are you gonna cry?" he asked, faux-sympathetically, "I hate to break it to you, but you're not Captain material. Just because your long lost daddy is our great and powerful leader and Grand Master," you froze at his assertion, "doesn't mean you get everything you want. If you're not qualified enough, someone else will be. Someone like..." he paused to lean in closer and gloat, "Me." You couldn't care less about him calling you unqualified for a position you were actually overqualified for—that kind of insult was par for the course when speaking with Kaeya—but his accusations about your father hit hard.

"Who told you that?" you seethed, your body shaking and your teeth gritted. He stayed silent and kept smiling his shit-eating grin at you.

"I asked you a question!" you yelled and pushed him away from you. Kaeya's face quickly shifted to surprise and then to anger.

"You little-" he began and walked towards you. You pulled your fists up, ready to brawl, but the door of the tavern burst open and Diluc quickly got between the two of you.

"Enough. Stop it," he commanded, pushing you both apart as Mona and Lisa (AN: Lmao Mona Lisa) ran out behind him. The two of you barely noticed Diluc, instead still fixated on each other with hatred. You stared into his one free eye with rage.

"Kaeya," you said, your drunkenness no match for your anger, "Who. Told. You?" Diluc shot you a confused look, but you were still fixated on your nemesis, who shrugged.

"Can't betray my sources, can I?" he replied so smugly you thought you might be sick. Seeing his smirking face made your anger reach a peak.

You lunged for him, but Diluc pushed you back into Lisa's arms. She wrapped you up quickly, but you weren't going down without a fight. You swung your fists forward and kicked yours legs in frustration.

"YOU MOTHERFUCKER!" You shouted, your profanity bouncing off the stone walls of Mondstadt, "You narcissistic, entitled, self-righteous ASSHOLE! I'll fucking kill you!" Kaeya laughed drunkenly as you continued to try to pry Lisa's arms off you. Mona also got in front of you, trying to calm you down and block your view of the man you hated, but the anger between the two of you was strong.

"You need new adjectives, those are getting old," he slurred, trying to take steps towards you, but was pushed back by his brother, "At least I'm not a failure! You don't even have a vision. How does he even look you in the eyes? Oh wait! He doesn't! He left because you're so much of a disappointment, he can't bear to look at you!" You froze for a second, then felt tears running down your cheeks and fought against Lisa and Mona more ferociously than before.

"Crepus made a mistake saving you!" you yelled through gritted teeth, still writhing in Lisa's grasp, "He should have left you on the side of the road to ROT!" You saw Kaeya's face darken, and you knew you had struck a nerve, so you drove the comment home.

"At least your body would have done more for Mondstadt as fertilizer than you've EVER done as Captain." You spat the words out, thinking maybe you had gone too far, but quickly shifted to not caring, as thoughts of your father ran through your mind.

"You obnoxious, pathetic little BITCH!" Kaeya shouted and lunged for you. Diluc caught him under the arms and pushed him back as Lisa and Mona dragged you away from him. Even the two women were not enough to contain your rage, however, and you finally managed to claw out of their grasps and make a break towards Kaeya. He broke free of his brother as well and was able to take one step towards you before Diluc managed to get between you again.

"ENOUGH!" Diluc yelled loudly, startling you into stopping. His voice echoed through the stone town, as you finally broke your stare away from Kaeya to look at your red-haired friend, who was shaking with anger and breathing heavily.

"If I have to break you two up one more time, I'm going to lose it," Diluc growled, looking at the two of you in fury. You shifted back timidly, never having seen Diluc in this state. Kaeya looked at his adopted brother with regret. He had brought him even more trouble than he already had. He felt sick.

"The next time you two get into it again outside MY BAR... I swear to Barbatos, I WILL have the Knights arrest you," he stated threateningly, "Understood?" You nodded silently, tears still streaming down your cheeks. Kaeya stayed stoic.

"Leave. Now." Diluc's command shook you to your soul. You took a deep breath and turned away.

"Fine. We'll settle this at work tomorrow," you muttered. Kaeya scoffed as you started walking away.

"We sure will," he called after you, "Call me the devil all you want, princess! I'll make your life a living Hell!"
