"The map says we should head..." Amber paused, looking at the treasure map closely. She flipped it upside down and checked her compass.

"We better not be lost," Albedo remarked, surprisingly shivering. You thought he'd be used to the cold, considering how much time he spent on the mountain. You nodded in agreement and huddled around a warming Seelie lamp.

"Hey, why didn't Sucrose come?" you asked the head alchemist.

"I wanted her to get some leadership experience," Albedo replied, "With her new promotion, I think it will be a good exercise for her to handle things on her own while I'm away for a couple days and build her confidence." You nodded understandingly and then looked daggers at your own captain.

"Sounds like a good idea," you grumbled, "You're such a good captain who really cares about the development of your subordinates."

"Not gonna happen, rookie," Kaeya said, approaching the lamp as well and warming his hands, "Things would fall into chaos if I left you in charge." You rolled your eyes.

"Okay, this way!" Amber finally declared and marched forward. The rest of you trudged through the snow behind her, shivering.

"This treasure better be worth it," Kaeya grumbled. You elbowed him in the side.

"Doesn't matter what the treasure is," you snapped, "This is all about helping Amber." Kaeya blew out his lips in annoyance.

"Right, I forgot, I'm just babysitting," he mumbled back.

"Do you care about anyone but yourself?" you asked with an attitude. Kaeya shrugged.

"All I'm saying is that if it's a cool sword, I call dibs," he stated.

"Yeah right!" Albedo chimed in, "If you want it, you're going to have to fight me for it."

"Well, fuck me then, I guess," you grumbled, crossing your arms.

"Sorry, but it's apparently a weapon specifically for Pyro vision holders so you all are S.O.L," she giggled, her eyes twinkling hopefully, "It's supposedly super powerful and was used in the Archon War 500 years ago! I hope it's a bow I can replace this old one with!" She twirled her trusty Favonius Warbow and nocked an arrow, which lit instantly. She aimed at a torch up the hill you were climbing and hit it dead on, igniting the timber it contained.

"Nice shot!" you cheered, giving her a high five. She smiled proudly as the two of you jogged up to the torch and huddled near it for warmth. She once again pulled out her map and looked at it. The boys caught up as she squinted at the paper, then looked around, then squinted at the map again.

"That's odd..." she muttered, "The map says it should be right here." The rest of the group looked around. It was just a pathway. There was nothing special about it. It just seemed like any other pathway on Dragonspine.

"Maybe you read it wrong," Albedo suggested innocently.

"Wouldn't surprise me," Kaeya mumbled. You and Amber glared at him.

"She knows how to read a map, Kaeya," you snapped, "Probably better than you."

"Notice you said 'probably,'" he pointed out, leaning closer to you, "not 'definitely.'" You glowered back at his evil expression. He had a twinkle in his eye, which increased when your glare deepened.

"Talk shit about my friend again," you threatened, "See what happens."

"Please don't bring me into this," Amber interjected sheepishly, "It's okay to double check sometimes." You looked at your friend in disbelief.

"Amber! Don't let these men-" you turned to Kaeya and spat the word out like you were disgusted, "try to make you feel lesser. They think just because they have a penis between their legs that they know better, they act better, they are better, but they're not." You poked a finger firmly into Kaeya's chest.
